This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so.

Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page.

The KopPad is the tablet-like communication device used by the captains in Pikmin 3. It takes on a look similar to that of the Wii U's GamePad. This serves to reinforce the connection between the fictional device and the real one, as most of the features used by the captains on the KopPad are accessed by the player using the GamePad, e.g. the map.

Features

Every captain possesses a KopPad. Its primary function is to read Data Files; these appear to be golden files which are scattered throughout the world. Data Files provide information on a wide variety of subjects. Players can view all the Data Files they have collected on the GamePad. Another feature of the KopPad is its ability to communicate between the captains; it can also be used to view the area's map. Finally, it can take pictures, which will then be posted on Miiverse.
