The Armored Mawdad is a boss creature from Pikmin 3. It was shown at Nintendo's E3. Players must toss Rock Pikmin at its armor in order to reveal its weak underbody.
It has been seen to use its pincers to trap Pikmin momentarily until the player can stagger it, launching the Pikmin out on their backs. It also often crawls on the walls and stops for a few seconds, giving players time to attack it.
