The Forest of Hope is my favorite area in the pikmin series in fact, I prefer all the areas in pikmin 1 over the areas in pikmin 2 excepting The Wistful Wild.

If you go to this area after I don't know which day, the Bulborb ammount seems to have triplicated. There's about 9 Red Bulborbs! Snakeboss14

I went there on Day 6 to get the last 3 parts and the number had triplicated, so it must take place at or before Day 6 Loafy the Breadbug

Isn't that impossible as the saggitarius needs blue Pikmin to obtain? Loafy the Breadbug

Every piece in the forest of hope can be acquired without blue pikmin. You will still need yellows to get to the Geiger Counter, I believe... (Lol late post) --96.252.135.102 19:15, 25 May 2012 (EDT)

I know how you can get screwed out of completing anything the first time you land here. If you are trying to get the shock absorber and you fall off the cliff behind it (before yellows are discovered), you can't get out of there. --Louie G. 16:58, 17 January 2012 (EST)

Actually, this is not so; there is a hole in the wall next to the black gate and a slope next to the white stone wall. They were put there with the intention should that scenario ever occur, you could escape. --PikminFanatic23 03:16, 13 April 2012 (EDT)

Getting to forest of hope w/o main engine?

Apparently, its possible to get the positron generator before the main engine by getting a pikmin extinction on day one through a glitch which allows you to drown all of your red pikmin. then, you can grow more pikmin, clip up there and go to the gate, getting to the positron generator. You'll have to free it by getting your reds to swim over to it, then have olimar lay down on top of it and slowly push it out of the water and near the ship, then have your pikmin carry it to the ship. It will apparently still allow you to access the forest of hope, as the only part they think you can get without glitches is the main engine. So apparently the forest of hope only requires one part.

Isn't this almost a year old? Anyway, if you're suggesting we change the 'requirements' part of the infobox on this page, it would probably just confuse people. I guess we should have it on a glitch page somewhere, though... GP 08:02, 29 May 2012 (EDT)
