:Well, I don't know about Greenpickle, but I check the [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent Changes]] every day, and anon edits catch my eye. Even if it's on pages that are rarely used, they're caught pretty quickly. As for blocking anon edits, remember that that also means that some typos or small stuff may be left unaltered. For instance, if I'm browsing a wiki and notice a typo, I'll edit the page and the change it. If, however, anon edits are disabled, I will not create an account just for a typo. The current spam edits aren't too bothersome, so I vote for leaving anon edits on, for now. If things get out of hand, I guess we could block them. Gone away for a few days.
Chatroom Admin
Hey can I be an chatroom admin or whatever they're called? I've been a loyal user here since the dark age of Pikipedia, have well over 500 edits, and have much more experience than I did before. If that's not enough, I'll continue my work here (which is to correct edits made by n00bs and defend my fellow gamers) albeit with spotty activity.--Pikdude 21:49, 20 September 2010 (EDT)
- I've never seen you in the chatroom (maybe it's just timezones). Have you got a registered nickname? GP
- I do now, and I'm not on that often because of school, soccer, and the fact that both I and my friends LOVE to play Halo Reach. Other than that, I'm on fairly often.Pikdude 07:26, 27 September 2010 (EDT)
Move to MediaWiki and alliance with NIWA
When did all this happen? Blue Ninjakoopa 20:11, 8 October 2010 (EDT)
- Move to MediaWiki? We've always used MediaWiki. We moved away from Wikia at the start of September. GP
Main Page
Hey! You seem to be the only bureaucrat and I cannot find a suggestions page so I'll say it here. I was wondering, if you look at the Main Page, it is good. But I created a new main page which I think would work better as the main page at User:Pikminguy1/Test. I think this new main page is a good idea, it contains more information and does not expand the length of the page from what it used to be. It contains all of the knowledge from the former main page (I removed the <choose> tags however, they were a good idea but they didn't work well...in my opinion, if you want a main page with the choose tags, see User:Pikminguy1/Test2). Anyways, the key point of my suggested main page is that it contains a new box, "Recent news!". I was originally gonna suggest you add a box without an example but I decided that it is more explanatory to show people that changes that I am talking about, so, this and this - do you like either of them? Would you consider making them the current design of the main page? Hope this isn't too long, yours truly, Pikminguy1 (My Talk Page).
- Hmm, yeah, the option stuff is more a remnant from when we had 3+ things to choose from, so the left column would be a lot longer; and the featured image wasn't in the right column, so it was shorter. I've removed it. About a news box, I do understand that most other wikis have them, and we used to, but we just never had any news for long periods of time - now just seems to be quite a busy time, what with the move. The site notice can cope with everything that does happen sufficiently. Of course, it's not up to me to decide, and if you still think we should have one, start a topic. GP
Logo
Since this seems to be a pressing issue now, I threw together an example of what I was talking about with the text over the flower. [1] My text abilities are really limited in Gimp, so I only had a few fonts and couldn't do the outline thing you had, but that's the basic idea. I liked your idea of using white text with an outline the same color as the flower. —Jimbo Jambo 14:23, 10 October 2010 (EDT)
- Yeah, I did link a couple before you left that time, but you must not have seen it:

Wikia is pissed
GP, take a look at your talk page on the old wiki: http://pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Greenpickle Essentially, they've written the following:
- Hello,
- We have noticed the sitenotice and anonnotice are directing people away from using this wiki and make it appear as if this wiki will be closing. We need the community to be aware that they are welcome to stay, and that the wiki will remain open. Community members are welcome to edit here, there or on both. Please change your message to reflect this. Thank you, Sarah@Wikia (Help Forum) (blog) 20:38, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm not sure if you are going to be back to do this, so I'll make the change. Thanks -- Sannse@Wikia (help forum | blog) 23:58, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
They don't want people to leave, but they don't want to change the themes neither! Ah! Do you plan on doing something about the removal of the warning? Do you know already if the wikis at Wikia can be deleted? {EspyoT} 15:02, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
- I've seen it. I'll come up with some wording that satisfies them. No, I don't think they can be deleted. GP
Did you here what happened on wikia? Major CSS problem.
"Monaco is currently experiencing some issues in which CSS is being stripped, which causes the pages to look broken. We're working on resolving this issue ASAP and Monaco will not remain looking like this - don't worry."
- Heh, even more CSS errors on wikia.
- "There are some issues at the moment with CSS caching, the tech guys are working on it and it should be fixed soon... sorry about this all."Vol (Talk)
- Fun. Well, apparently by 'Please change your message to reflect this.', they meant 'remove all mention of a competing wiki altogether', so I didn't get to re-word it. Not surprising, I guess... Edit: oh, just noticed Espyo had the bit at 8:58 in what he quoted, but I saw it between those two and didn't catch it until now. GP
Consistency
Alright Green,I have a proposal. I say we model all of the enemie "How to Kill" Sections like this:
==How to Kill== This section is entitled, "How to Kill", not Killing Strategies or Strategy. ===Pikmin=== This section will be on every page. Even if you cant kill the enemy, like Flint Beetles, a way to damage or attack the ememy must be listed. ===Captains=== This section will show up even if you can't kill and enemy with the Captains.
Either way, if we decide not to use this model, the Enemy pages nned to be more consistent. Ridly Screech! 07:03, 15 October 2010 (EDT)
- We had a thread about this, but it was never resolved. I think "Strategy" is the best option, as that's exactly what it is. As Green pointed out, you're not always killing enemies, such as with Flint Beetles which you even mentioned. —Jimbo Jambo 10:12, 15 October 2010 (EDT)
Edit port
Oops, my bad. I'm pretty sure I wanted to port either this or this. And seeing as I'm not sure if the info on those edits is appropriate or not, I'd rather leave my port uncorrected. Also, about this, the only reason I wrote that otherwise obvious sentence was because... well, ~70% of the additions to that list are completely unorganized. Most of them add new sections, and don't even use ===X===. It's like those warnings in rat poison. Nobody would ever think about eating it, but thanks to some people, almost every can of poison and such needs to have an obvious 'don't eat' warning. {EspyoT} 14:29, 20 October 2010 (EDT)
Pikmin map markers
I've added them like I said I would... but the wiki hasn't updated the image yet. Also, I'm pretty sure I accidentally chose the wrong textures, so the bubbles are bigger than they should be. This is, however, a good thing, so the markers on the map will be easier to identify. Also, couldn't you obtain the world map without the sunshine effect on the top-left corner? In Pikmin, the sunshine was a different texture. Is it merged with the map background itself in Pikmin 2? {EspyoT} 17:08, 21 October 2010 (EDT)
- Wait, why isn't this on template talk:areas? No, the markers you added look nice. Yeah, the light was separate. I thought it looked weird without it, though, and was going for something as close to what you see in-game as I could manage. Do you think it would be better to remove it? GP
Adminship... again
Yes, it seems I was an idiot and lost my password. Either that or I was hacked. So I had to create another account, and I was asking you to give me THE POWER again. Snakeboss16 22:05, 21 October 2010 (EDT)
- Greenpickle, check this guy to see if he has the same IP address as Snakeboss. --Gamefreak75
- So then I'm screwed? I'll keep trying to remember my password. LOL, I actually say things like THE POWER a lot with my friend, but it's the first time here. Snakeboss16 18:00, 22 October 2010 (EDT)
I remembered the password! Yes, it was actually, me, Snakeboss14. I got THE POWER again! :P
- It's what it sounds like. It just means an IP that changes. Many ISPs assign IP addresses dynamically because they only have so many they can allocate, so they need to free them up when some users disconnect - they don't actually have enough to handle every user they have, if they were all online at once. GP
I honestly think that the anon you just blocked should have a longer ban, tbh. --FREAK ~Game Freak~OUT!
- Meh. It's very unlikely he'll be back. For all we know, although even more unlikely, someone else at that address with better intentions might want to edit here some day, and it's better to have vandalism and good edits than no edits at all. GP
Changing the old wikia's name
Since Wikia doesn't want us to call people to the moved Pikipedia, I suggest changing the old Pikipedia's name to something that indicates that it's outdated and/or abandoned. {EspyoT} 16:30, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- I was thinking something like "Pikmin Wikia - The old wiki about Pikmin", but perhaps a bit better. It wouldn't tell users where it has moved to, but it would at least stop them from editing there. Also, naming it Pikmin Wikia could help differentiate between the old and new Pikipedia, but that's not too important. {EspyoT} 15:18, 26 October 2010 (EDT)

Random off-topic pages
I was looking through WantedPages, and I found that there are quite a few things that shouldn't be there, especially Halo: Reach. Are pages like this and this meant to be here, or were they accidentally imported when moving from Wikia? --SnorlaxMonster 19:57, 27 October 2010 (EDT)
- Yeah, I noticed that. They've only appeared in the last few days - actual pages exist too - and a search gives them as being from Halopedia (which is odd, 'cause even if they were moving, they're not Nintendo so wouldn't join NIWA). It's similar to what happened a few days (?) ago, but on a smaller scale. I'll ask Porplemontage. GP
- Ah, I didn't see that. While it would be interesting to find out what happens if I delete one (I guess either we'd just lose it, it'd give me an error, or it would actually be deleted from that independent Halopedia too), I don't think it'll be necessary. Just wait a bit, see what Porple says. Probably best not to try to edit them either. GP
I'm Back!!
Not sure if you remember me from a while back, but I am back, more mature, and A LOT more knowledgeable with Wiki coding. Anyways, I just stopped by to say hi. --Eduardog3000
Green!
GP, I need your help. Do you think it is possible for you to make a bot that can import items from a wikia to a wiki, specifically Kirby Wikia to Wikirby? --FREAK ~Game Freak~OUT!
- Well, all pages can be transferred using special:import/export, and that's what I did here; but since it's a merger, you need to merge them manually to avoid conflicts. What Lylat Wiki did to merge Arwingpedia transfer everything to the Arwingpedia: namespace (edit exported XML file), then merge everything manually from there. What this can't do is transfer images, though; for that, I could do something, but this is better because it preserves past versions of the image, and their uploaders. It looks quite involved, though, and requires root access, so you'd have to talk to whoever has access to the serve. GP
Blocking
Does Pikipedia have a policy on blocking? I'm not quite sure if I should or should not have blocked this user. Should I have given a warning first? Vol (Talk)
- We don't have a policy, no. I would say if it's not obviously vandalism, warn them first; and even if it is, and looks more like just seeing if the page will actually change when they edit it, I'll just warn them. But then, I'm quite lenient. As I see it, you should only resort to blocking when it's necessary, as blocking a user who means no harm will probably put them off editing, but if a user vandalises again we can always revert it. GP
thank you!!!gp i owe yo one...two...A DOZEN!!!thanks i agree there should be a warning.since the day after i signed up...i was blocked.i wasnt even sure what i was doing i saw the edit so...edited.-turtwig389
