The True Goo is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a used tube of white acrylic paint. Like other treasures in the Soulful Artist Series, this one is reminiscent of White Pikmin. It can be found in the what is likely the first place the player will discover White Pikmin.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The True Goo is located inside a hydro jelly in the southwestern corner of sublevel 2 of the Subzero Sauna. The hydro jelly is already frozen, meaning Ice Pikmin aren't mandatory to collect it. To collect this treasure, you must first burst the hydro jelly, then throw 3 Pikmin at it. The nearby Arctic Cannon Larva should be defeated first.

The Pikmin won't be able to take it back until the iron fences have been lowered, which requires all ice blocks to be burst so the button in the lake at the center of the sublevel can be pressed. Even after that is done, an Iceblown Dweevil will fall from the sky when the Pikmin pass shortly after the nearby lake. Finally, the Pikmin will want to carry through the lake at the center of the room, meaning they run a risk of being caught by the Puckering Blinnows. Either defeat those first, or instead freeze the lake to the north and use Ice Pikmin to carry, to make the Pikmin carry through there.

Notes

Schnauz's notes

Some say this hue is the absence of all color. Others say, in fact, it's all colors combined. I, for one, believe both are true. No, I don't know the whys and hows of it. But I do know this color goes nicely with every other color out there. And that must mean something.

Olimar's notes

Discovered in an obscure locale alongside White Pikmin. Creatures with bright colors are usually more likely to be packing poison, while creatures with dull coloration are generally harmless. But this doesn't apply to White Pikmin! In fact, they're dangerously poisonous. No doubt they use this to their advantage.

Louie's notes

My teeth have been sparkling white ever since I used this to brush them. I wonder if it took care of my cavities too.
