The Consolation Prize (なんちゃってノーブル?, lit.: "Fake Noble"; Blues Eradicator in Europe) is a treasure in Hey! Pikmin. It is a silver ring with a blue gem on top. The S.S. Dolphin II explains how the gem "prevents all light from passing through it except for waves towards the upper end of the visible spectrum". This is roughly true: light that hits the gem bounces back to the eye, except for waves on the upper part of the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum – greens, yellows, and reds. This means only blue reaches our eyes.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

After going through the first doorway of the area, Olimar will encounter a sleeping Mockiwi. The treasure stands above this creature, and in order to retrieve it, the player must destroy a dirt block and kill another Mockiwi, which will fall when the obstacle is destroyed.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

My daughter has started asking for real jewelry. The gleam in her eye as she looked at the stone on my wife's finger was a little scary, but who am I to say no to my little girl? Of course, real jewelry isn't in the family budget. But I did get her a very real-looking one. If I know her, though, she's too sharp to be fooled for long. I'll have to make some sacrifices then.
