The Golden Vaulting Table is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a gold ingot. According to the writing on it, it weighs one kilogram (about 2.2 pounds).
Collecting the treasure
The following article or section contains guides. |
The treasure is found in the Primordial Thicket behind some iron fences and requires 100 Purple Pikmin to carry. Before obtaining it, the sticky mold that is trapping it must be destroyed. Due to the area being blocked by bars and the ledge to it being too high to jump on, Oatchi is unable to help carry it back until the treasure has been brought down from the ledge.
Weight
The label on the Golden Vaulting Table says that the this object weighs 1 kilogram; this discovery, like with the Doomsday Apparatus, has lead to a lot of confusion. Although creating a formula from this would allow easy conversion between the in-game weight units and real-world units, the theory breaks down when real-world objects are weighed and compared to the weights predicted. For example, the Joy-Con treasures weigh 10 units each, while real Joy-Cons weigh as much as 48 or 52 grams, respectively.

Trivia
- This treasure is very similar to the Doomsday Apparatus from Pikmin 2. They are both:
- 1,000 units of weight, meaning 100 Purple Pikmin are needed to carry.
- Noted to weigh one kilogram.
- The most valuable treasure in their respective games.
- Found on the surface in the final area in their respective games.
- Assuming Oatchi's buff skill has been fully upgraded, granting him 100 carry power, only 90 Purple Pikmin are required to carry the treasure once it has been brought down from the ledge. However, it is possible via a glitch using ultra-spicy spray to get Oatchi through the iron bars and help carry it from where it is initially found.[source needed]
