Name Rewording

I think "Mysterious Disc Series" sounds better than just "Mystery Disk Series." The two names means the same: it implies that the milk caps are mysterious discs of some sort. But the "Mystery Disk Series" is worded awkwardly and doesn't imply that the disc are mysterious, but rather a puzzle to solve. "Mysterious Disc Series" is the same, but the implications are stronger and that it is not a puzzle, but rather something mysterious, almost mythical, to marvel at. -- White Eye 日出づる雲 7:27 PM, 28 April, 2022 (CST)

I guess it depends on the meaning of 謎の円盤群シリーズ. If it's more about the discs being mysterious then sure, I agree. But if it's more like a mystery of the discs, then the current name is better. Hmm...regardless, it should probably be "disc", not "disk", right? Check online, they seem to be synonyms, but I had a feeling for a while now that "disc" more strongly refers to the circular thin things, like CDs, whereas "disk" is more like what you'd find in a computer's hard drive. I am very sorry for the late reply. Anyway, I think the descriptions (the Ship's Sales Pitch) of both the series and the treasures implies they are more about the discs being mysterious to the Hocotates than it is more like a mystery of the discs... even though it seemed to be the mixture of both. I still think "Mysterious Disc Series" fits both purpose.

Also I check the difference between disc and disk and...

Merriam-Webster said, "Disc is seen more often in the music industry and throwable objects such as Frisbees, whereas disk is the preferred spelling in computer-related lingo such as floppy disk."

I agree that "disc" is better than "disk" for this series name. However, I think "Mystery Disc" is slightly better than "Mysterious Disc". English treasure series names are usually based on wordplay, interesting sound combinations, and puns. "Mystery Disc" has the same vowel sound on both of the stressed syllables, but "Mysterious Disc" doesn't have that, which makes "Mystery Disc" fit a bit better with the English series names. Hm, well, I guess "Mystery Disc" can serve for both interpretations. Since there doesn't seem to be any clear solution, I'd say this one works best, and also goes with the reasons Soprano described above. — {Espyo^T} 08:17, August 14, 2022 (EDT)

Re:Name Rewording

After thinking about how the Mystical Energy Series' name was translated (from 謎エネルギーシリーズ^? / Mystery Energy Series), I'm starting a small re-proposal on renaming the Mystery Disc Series to Mystical Disc Series. Since the Japanese name for both the Mystical Energy Series and the Mystery Disk Series contains 謎, and one of them got translated to Mystical, I suggest renaming this article from Mystery Disc Series to Mystical Disc Series.
