While playing Mission mode with my mother, I have found the counter glitch on multiple occasions. We first found it on Distant Tundra Remix, and now we can find it anywhere. If I remember correctly, we also saw it on Fortress of Festivity. I see no specific cause of the glitch, however, and all we do is play normally. I have never found it in single-player, though.
