Artwork of Oatchi.

Oatchi is a playable character in Pikmin 4, and is the companion of the rookie Rescue Officer. He is a Rescue Pup, a type of space dog that is part of the Rescue Corps. He has various abilities that allow him to perform tasks like a Pikmin, and he can also act as a leader when separated from the Rescue Officer. His breed of space dogs has long served the Shepherd family, and he obeyed only Erma Shepherd, the captain of the Rescue Corps, until the rookie Rescue Officer appeared. He is from the planet Giya.

Random excerpts
This species of mollusk has shed its shell through the process of evolution. What appears as a flower-shaped protrusion on its back actually functions as its gills. The ranging bloyster ensnares small animals with its sticky tentacles, reels them in, and consumes them. Observers have noted that this creature exhibits a keen interest in flashing objects. It often tries to capture and ingest these objects. Researchers and explorers equipped with flashing identification beacons should be wary when in close proximity to this dangerous predator.

This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so.

Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page.

At Pikmin Wiki, this page was called "Pikmin Wiki", which is likely different from the current title. It might make sense to rename this page.
