==Killing Strategy==
In ''[[Pikmin (series)|Pikmin]]'' they are relatively easy to kill, throwing is inefficient because after a while of having [[Pikmin (Species)|Pikmin]] on them they will buck and fling the Pikmin off. Swarming the front of the beast is best, make sure you use Reds though because staight after bucking it shoots flames. After being bucked off your Pikmin will get up and attack the Blowhog. All you do is just stand and watch. One problem is that they often fling Pikmin off into water or off the map, but calling them back with a whistle will save them.

Red Pikmin are recommended, but if the player is careful, it can be taken out with any color of Pikmin. To start off, throw a single Pikmin directly onto the Fiery Blowhog (preferably a Leaf Pikmin so it doesn't get deflowered). Immediately after the Blowhog throws the Pikmin off, swarm it with the entire group. If it is evident that it will survive this attack, call back the Pikmin swarming it before they can get knocked off, then re-swarm the Blowhog. Repeat until it's dead. Pikmin that are swarming a Fiery Blowhog cannot be ignited, meaning they're safe from its attack. You could also leave a group of Reds near a Fiery Blowhog, (recommended leaf), and they cannot be killed, unless the Fiery Blowhogs bucks them into water. Make sure you make the Blowhog face away from any water sources.

In ''[[Pikmin 2]]'', simply tossing [[Purple pikmin|purples]] onto their backs will stun and kill them very quickly.
