Take them out along with the [[Hazard#Poison gas|poison pipe]]s so they won't harm the [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] as they carry it back to the [[Hocotate ship#Research Pod|ship's pod]]. It is actually a 9-volt Duracell battery. The Japanese [[Region|version]] has a National NEO Hi-Top AA battery instead, explaining its lower price.
