The first game, Pikmin, was released in 2001 in North America and Japan, and in 2002 in Europe. The sequel to Pikmin, Pikmin 2 was released in 2004. The New Play Control! version of Pikmin was released in 2008 in Japan and 2009 everywhere else. New Play Control!
