:I think he's going to flop, but it would be better to shun him about this little stunt. The sooner he can go through life understanding that people don't want their hard work stolen (and that nobody likes ''lazy'' rip-offs), the better. I guess I could do it, I still have a Wikia account in good standing, and I'm activeish on Carmageddon Wikia, at least until I move that into an independent domain. — '''{''[[User:Espyo|Espyo]]''[[User talk:Espyo|T]]}''' 07:10, 19 November 2013 (EST)

Anybody remember DonoPik? Slightly strange, some clichéd ideas on his page, stuff like that . . . he thanked PikFan and I for giving him a few tips and "creating this wiki". . . . Well, I noticed that he started a wiki, on Wikia, called the "Pikmin-O-Pedia." Well, it's a bit strange . . . considering that there are already two wikis dedicated to Pikmin, at least one of which he already knows about. . . . Not only that, they're copied word from word for our pages (or at least, the pages already there; there's only twenty-two. You can see an example at the Onion page over there. Compare it to our page. The images are different, but the words are the same. Do you think we should try to shut him down (either by going to his wiki or talking to Wikia staff {perhaps not the brightest idea, as they may have a grudge against NIWA users . . .) or do you think it's too low-key to worry about? It's also a bit humorous in the way he designed it, too; not only is it pretty ugly (which is standard with Wikia), he has an entire page available in the menu about him, labeled "About the Author." What do you guys think? -Los Plagas

I think he's going to flop, but it would be better to shun him about this little stunt. The sooner he can go through life understanding that people don't want their hard work stolen (and that nobody likes lazy rip-offs), the better. I guess I could do it, I still have a Wikia account in good standing, and I'm activeish on Carmageddon Wikia, at least until I move that into an independent domain. — {EspyoT} 07:10, 19 November 2013 (EST)
I agree with your statement, but one thing that could pose a problem is that, somehow, he already has a small community (on a side note, I believe he also copied the Pikmin fanfiction wiki's little guilds and ranks, too). In the comments section, you can see some users interacting with him and everything. But we should probably wait and see - activity will most likely tend to decrease, and if not, we can go ahead and report his wiki, either to him or Wikia. -Los Plagas
One thing: I left a calm message to DonoPik on his wiki explaining how we feel. I told him he was free to continue editing, and that we were not yet sure it was copied, but that, if it was, to please remove the copied material (which, sadly, is basically everything). I'm not going to do anything more than that just yet, but if he proves to be too obstinate, I will ask you to report him. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and say that it's possible he didn't actually copy, but it's pretty much guaranteed that he copied, and unless there's some amazing reason (considering we have proof he's gone on this wiki before), I won't take no for an answer. -Los Plagas
Pikipedia is licensed under CC-BY-SA, so all you can do is ask him to attribute it. GP 16:38, 20 November 2013 (EST)
You may be right, but look at the full scope of the situation - everything is copied. It's not just one page, or a paragraph, or anything like that: there is no page on there that is not taken from us. -Los Plagas
Hey guys. I am Piki1, from the Pikmin Fanon Wiki. DonoPik is also a user there. He has lied about spam on his talk page and such, causing PikFan, Peach Bulborb, and I to go on a mad chase to find the spammer. After all, it was a lie by him. I sense that we may have to block him for a few months or so. What he is doing is plagiarism, obviously. It is against the law (where I live, at least) to plagiarize. I think that warrants a block for a few months. Thanks. User:Piki1
Yes, DonoPik, on Fanon, did claim someone spammed his talk page, but I didn't believe it and I warned him. Also, I find the copying of the wikis and twisting it into something so utterly disorganized just atrocious. I hope that the wiki is taken down by Wikia, if they even care at all... ~PikFan23
Has he said anything lately? Sure, our wiki is licensed so that it can be copied, but being a douche is a whole different story. If he hasn't replied to anything, I'm reporting him to Wikia -- it's against their TOS to have duplicate wikis, so that be enough to at least take down his stupid wiki. — {EspyoT} 09:47, 21 November 2013 (EST)
No, he has not replied to the comment I left. PikFan, do you think it would be easier to contact him through Fanon? I don't have an account there, but it seems like you have an outstanding reputation there, and it might work better from there. But, like I said, he hasn't replied, and neither have his users; so, if you're fed up, Espyo, go ahead and report him. Also, since they (Wikia) might not care about us too much, say he's copied their wiki too, just in case. -Los Plagas

Also, just something I found kind of sickening now that I look back. Copied from a message on my talk page.

Hi this is DonoPik![edit]

i would just like to say hi and tell you that im working on a website kinda like this called The Pikmin-o-Pedia. i just wanted to say thank you for creating this website, it inspired me soo much and i would just want to say THANK YOU! "It inspired me soo much" That part was just enraging to read. I'm still fuming about it right now! "Kinda like this" You mean copied from this! Ugh, the nerve of some people . . . -Los Plagas

Hehehe... Let's not lose sight of the problem at hand, though. We're going to stop DonoPik. ~PikFan23
Wow, you're all so evil. GP 14:49, 22 November 2013 (EST)

It is a duplicate wiki and I think someone should get him to stop (copying, duplicate wiki, whatever). However, I definitely don't think you should deliberately lie and say he copied the Wikia wiki. PeachBulborb.png I'm Peach Bulborb , and I approve all Grub-Dogs! 18:19, 22 November 2013 (EST)

The copying of Wikia is not the forefront, but I do believe he did for some reason; I dunno, we discussed it in the Chatroom. And anyway, Wikia could potentially have a problem with the duplicate wiki, so we do have an excuse on Wikia's side. I do agree it's best to find some way to make him unappealing without resorting to lying about his "crimes," though. -Los Plagas

Wikia seems pretty laid-back. There are three wiki's (on Wikia) I know of involving Pikmin: The Pikmin wiki, Pikmin-O-Pedia (the subject of hot debate), and Bradlimar's wiki (the general topic at least is Pikmin).

Wikia doesn't seem to really care about duplicate wikis... However, I still think you should get him to stop copying Pikipedia's articles. PeachBulborb.png I'm Peach Bulborb , and I approve all Grub-Dogs! 22:26, 22 November 2013 (EST)

They're Doing Something About It![edit]

The users on Pikmin-O-Pedia are finally doing something. Users ThePikminMeister and DonoPik have talked it out, and TPM is now going to change the articles so they are no longer plagiarism. Since that is over with, I say we just let his wiki ride and forget about it. PeachBulborb.png I'm Peach Bulborb , and I approve all Grub-Dogs!

Fine with me! I still don't generally approve of him adding another wiki about Pikmin, but there's no longer an actual "problem," per se (though I do heavily doubt that he just "wrote stuff down in his journal," because seriously, the articles used the exact same vocabulary and everything . . . but we will let it go. -Los Plagas
That changes things. Now, he's not gonna go far with this, so we can't be threatened with yet another competing wiki, but just in case things get out of hand, we can still complain to Wikia about this goof. — {EspyoT} 07:01, 24 November 2013 (EST)
I went over and took a look at the wiki, and I have to admit, he really did need to copy off of us to make a readable wiki. The articles have ridiculous grammar, spelling, and basically have nothing that makes an article shine . . . I don't think he'll be much competition. -Los Plagas
