I noticed that the predecessor is referred to as a "prequel" in this template. This is actually incorrect terminology, as a "prequel" (portmanteau of pre and sequel) is normally something that is released after the work, but set before it in its timeline (i.e. if a game set before the original Pikmin is released, that's a prequel to Pikmin, but Pikmin is not a prequel to Pikmin 2). "Predecessor" (as used in the template documentation) would be a more accurate term; I am thinking this should be changed in the template, but wanted to bring it up on the talk page first.--Vellidragon (talk) 11:40, 25 July 2013 (EDT) | I noticed that the predecessor is referred to as a "prequel" in this template. :You're absolutely right. Feel free to change it. Even though it's an important edit that can break infoboxes, it's for the best, and it won't really break anything. — {EspyoT} 14:52, 25 July 2013 (EDT) |

Predecessor
I noticed that the predecessor is referred to as a "prequel" in this template. This is actually incorrect terminology, as a "prequel" (portmanteau of pre and sequel) is normally something that is released after the work, but set before it in its timeline (i.e. if a game set before the original Pikmin is released, that's a prequel to Pikmin, but Pikmin is not a prequel to Pikmin 2). "Predecessor" (as used in the template documentation) would be a more accurate term; I am thinking this should be changed in the template, but wanted to bring it up on the talk page first.--Vellidragon (talk) 11:40, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
