Portal-Kombat's Fake Pikmin 3 Walkthrough (Please Comment in Discussion)

After Olimar, Louie and the President return to Hocotate with the treasures, a government pod flies in with a message from the Mayor of Hocotate. Already the Mayor has learned of the treasures and in the message he promises high positions in Hocotate's government for the three of them, as long as they return to the planet and recover the rest of the treasures. The three of them are surprised of course because they thought they got every treasure, but the government pod installs a special upgrade chip into the ship that enhances the ship's capacity to store valuable objects, from 201 slots to 502. Although Olimar and Louie don't want to return to the planet so soon, the President tells the ship to take off immediately and he hops out of the rocket at the last moment, sending Olimar and Louie on a course back to the Pikmin planet. In the meantime, he hops on the government pod that will take him to meet with the Mayor of Hocotate personally.

Pikmin Species

Red Pikmin

These guys are fireproof, good fighters and they heat up certain metal objects when massed together.

Yellow Pikmin

They soar high when thrown, are immune to electricity and can imbue certain objects with an electrical charge.

Blue Pikmin

Waterproof troopers that sometimes squirm out of an enemy's grasp.

Purple Pikmin

These Pikmin can be grown only underground. They have ten times the strength and weight of any other Pikmin type, are wind-resistant and can stun enemies slightly when thrown. Unfortunately, they are slow.

White Pikmin

These fast Pikmin can be grown only underground. They can breathe poison gas and dig up objects buried in the ground. They are slightly poisonous to enemies that eat them.

Black Pikmin

These Pikmin can be grown only underground. They stick to things like walls and enemies when thrown (until they are called back). Likewise, sticky substances will not get them stuck. They have no prominent facial features like other Pikmin.

Green Pikmin

A bizarre Pikmin that has an Onion, but you can only grow them by gathering rare green pellets. They are resistant to liquid acids, a deadly hazard. Liquid acids come in several forms, all of which are deadly to non-greens.

Bulbmin

A parasitic Pikmin/Bulborb creature that will accompany you if you encounter it in a dungeon, but it will not leave the dungeon. They are immune to fire, electricity, water and poison gas.

Blue Bulbmin

A special form of bulbmin. There are only a couple in the game. These bulbmin can follow you above ground and can withstand all elements except for acid. However, only ten at most can ever be above the surface.

Characters

Captain Olimar

A veteran space pilot who works for Hocotate Freight. He discovered Pikmin and saved his fellow employee, Louie, from a monstrous Titan Dweevil. Currently he is gathering treasures in order to escape the Pikmin planet. But with 300 treasures to discover, it will be a struggle for survival for both the Pikmin and Olimar.

Louie

Ever-hungry employee of Hocotate Freight, Louie is also known as the King of Bugs because he survived an encounter with a Titan Dweevil all by himself. Could Louie have had some control over the bug's mind? That remains unknown. He and Olimar are trapped on the Pikmin planet.

President

The President of Hocotate Freight almost lost everything he had, but after a return trip with a full load of treasures, he'd never been happier. After he learned that there were many more treasures to be found, he quickly sent Olimar and Louie back to the planet, and he went off to meet with the Mayor of Hocotate (or so he thought!)

Hocotate Ship/Research Pod

A rusty old ship that Olimar and Louie used to go to the Pikmin planet. Unfortunately, the "upgrade" that was installed in it by the government pod prevents it from leaving the Pikmin planet until all the treasures are accounted for. The ship has also been modified so that it cannot send or receive any messages. Interesting...

G-Pod

The pod that gave the Hocotate Ship the special "upgrade" and escorted the President to meet the Mayor of Hocotate.

Areas and Dungeons

Desert Oasis

  • Scavenger's Hideout
  • Scrap Metal Abyss
  • Black Flower Garden
  • Dark Desert Cave

Due to the dryness of the surrounding desert, you'll never have to worry about any rain here. However, most of your Pikmin won't work as well in the heat- save for the Red Pikmin who call this place home.

Highland Field

  • Magenta Den
  • Serpent Garden
  • Behemoth's Lair
  • Dark Field Cave

Cool air, blue skies and wide open spaces make the Highland Field an inviting area. It is the best place to propagate Pikmin. In terms of weather, the worst you'll get is a harmless light rain. Yellow Pikmin live here because it is a higher area.

Mountain Springs

  • Pale Pit of Peril
  • Fireside Temple
  • Snowstorm Grotto
  • Dark Mountain Cave

This chilly area is home to many reservoirs that channel their streams of water in different directions depending on the amount of rain. The water and cool weather make this place a Blue Pikmin's paradise.

Ancient Wetland

  • Quicksand Temple
  • Aqua Labyrinth
  • Dead Man's Trench
  • Dark Wetland Cave

An area similar to The Distant Spring/Perplexing Pool. It is the widest area and has many submerged sections and islands, so blues will of course play a major role in exploring it. The Green Onion lies somewhere in this area.

Forest Depths

  • Glowing Tunnels
  • Supercomputer Complex
  • Predator's Realm
  • Dark Forest Cave

The deepest parts of the forest may be swarming with life, but the creatures that live here are no friends of yours. By this point you should have discovered all the Pikmin, so clearing this area is possible from the moment you land here.

Penumbra Plains

  • Web of Terror
  • G-Base
  • Black Hole

A dark and wasted area on the far side of the map. It is inhabited by hordes of hostile enemies and a dangerous mix of hazards, including occasional acid rain which falls from the sky. The many pathways of the area make it a pain to navigate.

The Portal

  • Worlds Beyond

The last area. It is a small island with a large tree. Although you can explore the island there isn't much to do except enter the dungeon at the base of the tree. It is an homage to the final level in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
