The Courage Reactor is really a D Duracell battery. It is the first treasure that you get in Pikmin 2, it is located in the Valley of Repose, and it is imperative that you get it, because that is how you complete and end Day 1. It really doesn't need an explanation on how to get it, but you should easily understand what you need to do to retrieve it. It, as a side note, is partially buried.
