The Cloaking Burrow-nit is an insect-like creature found in Pikmin 2. It rests face-down in the ground. It has a dark blue shell with large, red eye markings on it. If it is approached, it emerges and attempts to follow and attack the Pikmin. It has a sharp proboscis which can be thrust into prey, piercing the victim and causing damage. The best way to beat it is swarm its weak spot, which is its face, or throw Purple Pikmin onto its back (they will eventually crawl towards the face for maximum damage). Burrow-nits, primarily the one in Wistful Wild, will deconstruct nearby bridges, similar to Sheargrubs.
This creature isn't seen too often, and it is not very dangerous, as it only can kill one Pikmin at a time. A Cloaking Burrow-nit appears in the background of the Distant Planet Stage on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but has no trophy or other mention in the game.

Killing Strategy
Pikmin
Swarming it is a suitable method, and 25 Pikmin are enough, as the hard shell protects it from all attacks, leaving only the face vulnerable, but usually, the Pikmin will revert from the shell to the face.
Captains
Using both captains, the face must be repeatedly punched while making sure not to be hit with the proboscis. IT may attempt to shake off the captains, but this action can be foreseen and avoided easily.
