Bomb-Rocks are explosive rocks in the Pikmin games. In the first game, they could be carried by Yellow Pikmin, where their main purposes were to destroy rock walls. They could also be used to defeat enemies. In the second game, however, they were much larger and can not be carried, (with the exception of when you are in the the Hostile Territory stage in 2-Player Mode you can pick them up with your pilots) only detonated. In certain dungeons, they can actually be eaten by any nearby Emperor Bulblaxes (on its own) in the area. They are also produced by Careening Dirigibugs. Volatile Dweevils are also capable as acting as moving bombs. NEVER throw Purple Pikmin on these. Bomb-rocks can even be petrified, so do that if you are in a pinch, but keep in mind that they will not release nectar or spray. In Pikmin 2, you can pick up a bomb-rock by making a captain move against the bomb-rock, and then the captain will pick up the bomb-rock. You can throw the bomb-rock by pressing A and you can also put it down (This will activate it) by pressing B, which is handy for a more accurate blast on an enemy. You must throw it, or you will be injured. Again, this only possible in 2-Player mode. However, it is possible to nudge the bomb rocks around in story mode, but the captains won't pick them up.
