The Mechanical Box (Lullabies) is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a music box that plays "Piranha Plant's Lullaby" from Super Mario 64 when carried or interacted with in the Treasure Catalog. It is located on the second sublevel of the Cavern for a King. Underneath its bottom is an engraving that reads "H13.001026", which stands for Heisei 13 October 26, the release date for Pikmin 1 using the Japanese era calendar scheme that corresponds to October 26 2001 in the Gregorian calendar.

Collecting the treasure

The Mechanical Harp is sitting on the ground in the top left corner of Sublevel 2 of the Cavern for a King in the Primordial Thicket. It is guarded by a Jumbo Bulborb, a Bulborb, and four Dwarf Bulborbs, which should be defeated before attempting to collect it. To collect this treasure, you must throw 7 Pikmin at it.

Particularly: Transcribe notes about this treasure, though remember that all transcribed notes will be replaced with notes from the game files eventually.

Schnauz's Notes

The song played on this device is intended to make the listener feel sleepy and yet terrified to fall asleep at the same time. How odd that a piece of music can make you feel like you're staring down a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

Olimar's Notes

There's a healing quality to this song, and I can't help but gravitate toward it... Perhaps this is a machine meant to lure prey for a stronger predator. The strong do have a disproportionate advantage on this planet. Wait... Then does that make me the weaker prey?

Louie's Notes

Nana used to sing me a special lullaby to put me at ease. I would instantly fall asleep.
