The forest of hope does not have many trees, as opposed to its name. Most of this area consists of vast plains with some gates and high walls that block the way. It has a small lake near the main plain. The most common enemies here are [[Red Bulborb]]s and [[Dwarf Red Bulborb]]s.

The Forest of Hope is the second playable area in Pikmin. On the area select map it is the center of the vast forest in the game, and has eight pieces scattered all over the area. This area would become the Awakening Wood level in Pikmin 2. The landing site becomes the area where a mold grows.
