The Impact Site is where Captain Olimar landed after his ship crashed into a pebble-sized asteroid, which to him seemed very large. The area is near the edge of the vast forest on the area select map, not far from the Forest of Hope. This is the first area playable in Pikmin, where you discover Red Pikmin in a dormant Red Onion. After Day 1, more Pellet Posies appear along with some enemies. This area would become the Wistful Wild level, along with The Final Trial.
