What to do
There are two main ways to help Pikipedia. You can either read articles, and contribute with improvements (rewording a sentence, adding an image, performing a tagged task, suggesting an idea on the talk page, etc.), or you can pick something from the list of tasks and start working on it:
- Stubs – short articles that need more information. Contribute by adding some.
- Cleanup – articles or sections that need some cleaning up. This can go from rewording some poor sentences to completely rewriting the section.
- To do list – minor tasks scattered around.
- Pages that need images – articles that either have poor images, or very few. Upload some!
- Wanted pages – articles that are being called, but don't exist. Try creating one!
- Articles to be deleted, merged and split – articles that have been nominated to be deleted, merged with another article, or split into two or more pages. Share your opinion about it on the article's talk page.
- Articles in need of specific game help – these pages need help from somebody who owns a specific game and/or version. If you have the required games, contribute!
- Current projects – list of big projects that are happening right now. Pick one you like, and help out!
- Tag articles and sections that need help with the corresponding templates.
- Go through the images and...
- ...find any with low quality, and add an {{image}} tag to it.
- ...find any without a given license, and add an {{unlicensed}} tag to it.
- Compare existing articles with our policies, and if something is wrong (like a game name that's not italicized), fix it!
- Find articles and files that are not under the categories they should be in, and categorize them. Remember to use the deepest category possible!
- Find dead links and update them.
- Give your opinion by nominating a new featured article for the main page, or voting on existing nominations.
