The Armored Mawdad^[1] is a new boss appearing in Pikmin 3. Apparently, the Armored Mawdad can only be defeated by the new Rock Pikmin.

-Upon entering the boss arena, the Armored Mawdad appears and frantically crawls around the stange. Ocassionally it will attempt to capture Pikmin in its mandibles.
