This enemy was also seen in the May Nintendo Direct. It resembles a purple sea urchin with yellow-green growths on its body. When approached, the creature seems to inflate. While on land, they have the ability to blow bubbles that can capture Pikmin, similar to the Peckish Aristrocrab. The Waddlepus is an aquatic enemy in Pikmin 3. It resembles a purple starfish-like creature with several yellow holes on its back. It is harmless and incapable of killing your Pikmin.

The Waddlepus sits idly and is generally passive. However, once Pikmin are in its line of sight, it will inflate its back and blow bubbles everywhere, which will encase your Pikmin, sending them floating away until they pop. When attacked, it will slowly waddle around, and inflate to shake off the Pikmin.
