I cant upload images, every time I...

1. select upload image(green arrow). 2. browse for image and type my summary. 3. then it gives me the error message "the file is corrupted or has an incorrect extension pleas check the file and try agen". Last Onion

What extension does the file have? Try uploading it somewhere else so that I can check what the problem with it is.GP 14:31, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
OK I'll try uploading it here. Last Onion

Basically, you didn't upload it to that location. IIRC, it's at File:orange pikmin1.JPG.GP 10:58, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry if I'm bothering you but how do I "upload a new version of this file". Same as error as before. (sigh).....Last Onion

Ah, so that's it. Basically, when uploading a new version of a file, they have to have the same extensions. Make sure the extension in the Source filename box is the same as in the Destination filename box.GP 13:39, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I can tell I'm not very good at this what is an extension? Last Onion

It's whatever's in the file's name after then dot. So, Olimar.jpg has jpg as its extension. If you have Windows XP, you probably can't see the extensions for most files; to show them, open a folder, go to Tools|Folder Options...|'View' tab|and uncheck the box with 'Hide extensions for known filetypes'. Then you can see them.GP 10:56, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Make sure you're pressing the 'Browse...' button rather than just typing the name in the box. Also, make sure the extension is in that box before you upload. If you keep having problems, upload to an image-hosting site (somewhere like ImageShack) and link to that here, and someone else'll sort it out.GP
