It seems you all despise the treasure hunts and (no  offence to you) this wiki is boring, I found the treasure hunts fun, but you all don't seem to like them. Currently in the list of enemies by game, [[boss]]es have their names in '''bold'''. ::I think that ''italics'' should be used for bosses acording to the game, like the flint beetle and candypop bud in pikmin 1, '''bold text''' should be used for bosses acording to the community, like the puffstool and smoky progg in pikmin 1, and '''''bold italics''''' should be used for bosses acording to both the game and community, like the beady long legs and the emperor/soverign bulblax in pikmin 1. :::I don't really like that system as using one of the only three text modifiers we have on the enemies that both the game and fans consider bosses seems like a hell of a waste, considering how complicated 4 is when it comes to bosses. Enemies that are only labelled as a boss internally when they clearly aren't ever supposed to be one in-game also doesn't seem like a particularly good thing to classify as it's pretty irrelevant to both the final products themselves, and to what's mostly a quick navigation section like the one we're talking about. -[[User:Gulliblepikmin|Gulliblepikmin]] 08:14, October 14, 2024 (EDT)

About the scientific names... Shouldn't it be "Genus species," not "genus species?" Should I fix the capitalization in all of the articles? Mariotime315 Let's-a go! Artwork of a Purple Pikmin. 16:47, 1 November 2016 (EDT)

Yeah. There used to be no standard on this, but it was later decided that it should be like that. I'm going through all enemy articles and cleaning up their naming sections, so I'll do that as well. But feel free to fix the plant articles. — {EspyoT} 10:29, 2 November 2016 (EDT)

Hey! Pikmin enemies ?[edit]

Can I add the enemies of Hey! Pikmin in the table at the bottom of the article ? With this, all the enemies of the franchise will be easily accessible, which will be great, I think. Hugik (talk) 13:02, 17 September 2018 (EDT)

Absolutely. Go for it! — {EspyoT} 15:39, 17 September 2018 (EDT)

Giant Breadbug in Pikmin 4[edit]

Question, is the Giant Breadbug found in any Pikmin 4 footage or is that the result of a leak? Same for the Desiccated Skitter Leaf.

The Giant Breadbug is from the end of the demo, in one of the scrolling pictures. The Desiccated Skitter Leaf is from IGN's 20 minutes gameplay of the Blooming Terrace (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWBWglh3BFU). As per policy, leaks are not allowed, so all information on Pikipedia prior to release is only from official sources. — Bossclips

Should I keep doing the treasure hunts?[edit]

I think they are fun and interesting as some people see pages they normally wouldn't. What do YOU think 🤔 80.233.73.66 16:36, August 30, 2024 (EDT)

No. All they do is interrupt a page with a random letter that doesn't mean anything. They aren't even """Treasure Hunts""" because of special:RecentChanges allowing anyone to see any and all edits as they happen. Twins1105 (talk) 16:40, August 30, 2024 (EDT)
It's still vandalism, which nobody likes. And it gets undone relatively quickly, so the impact you're hoping for from of these "Treasure Hunts" is practically negligible. Dolphinius (talk) 16:44, August 30, 2024 (EDT)
I second what both Twins1105 and Dolphinius have said. -Gulliblepikmin 16:51, August 30, 2024 (EDT)

I don't think it makes sense to consider the gold pieces of the Gildemander and Gildemandwee to be enemies. They have some properties of enemies, as you've described, but no-one would expect to find them in a list of enemies. The list of enemies in this article is primarily for the purpose of navigating the wiki, not for listing every enemy-type object in each game. Bosses and bold text[edit]

Currently in the list of enemies by game, bosses have their names in bold. This might be useful for navigation, but the ambiguity of what counts as a boss in Pikmin and Pikmin 4 leads to disagreements over what enemies should have bold text. Should the bold text be removed for all games, just these two games, or retained? — Soprano(talk) 01:21, October 14, 2024 (EDT)

We have italics and 'bold itaclis'. We could use those as a key to distinguish between different types of bosses, like we already do with bold text. -Gulliblepikmin 04:19, October 14, 2024 (EDT)
I think that italics should be used for bosses acording to the game, like the flint beetle and candypop bud in pikmin 1, bold text should be used for bosses acording to the community, like the puffstool and smoky progg in pikmin 1, and bold italics should be used for bosses acording to both the game and community, like the beady long legs and the emperor/soverign bulblax in pikmin 1. Mama09001 (talk) 07:07, October 14, 2024 (EDT)
I don't really like that system as using one of the only three text modifiers we have on the enemies that both the game and fans consider bosses seems like a hell of a waste, considering how complicated 4 is when it comes to bosses. Enemies that are only labelled as a boss internally when they clearly aren't ever supposed to be one in-game also doesn't seem like a particularly good thing to classify as it's pretty irrelevant to both the final products themselves, and to what's mostly a quick navigation section like the one we're talking about. -Gulliblepikmin 08:14, October 14, 2024 (EDT)
