The Heat Sensor is a treasure in Pikmin 4, found in the Sightless Passage. It is actually a thermometer that reads "36.8° C", or 98.24° F, roughly the average human body temperature.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

It is completely buried in the northwestern room of sublevel 1 of the Sightless Passage. It can be located with the Treasure Gauge or Oatchi's sniffing abilities. It is hidden beneath a sizzling floor caused by a Pyroclasmic Slooch, meaning that Red Pikmin are essentially required to collect this treasure, although you can remove the floor with Oatchi if he has the Scorch Guard. To collect this treasure, you must first extinguish the sizzling floor, then throw 5 Pikmin in its vicinity. It is recommended to also defeat the other Pyroclasmic Slooch nearby.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

Touch the tip of this device to your cheek, and you'll find the number that appears there matches the warmth of your heart. When faced with stress or anger, apply this sensor to your skin. Is the number higher? If so, it's time to focus on keeping your cool.

Olimar's notes[edit]

Quantifying the warmth in your heart... What a brilliant idea! The next time there's a mix-up between my wife and me, I can just show her the numerical value of my feelings for her! Then we could use it on her, and... Actually, that part might backfire.

Louie's notes[edit]

I licked the smaller end, and it was a little bit salty. The rest was pretty unappetizing.
