In an edit of yours to the Hocotate ship's page, you wrote the following edit summary: 'It would be great knowing what the Japanese version of Pikmin 3 says, as the whole third paragraph here has theories based exclusively on the English translation, it seems to me. Does Olimar or Louie say "S.S. Dolphin first model" when referring to the ship, or they really just say "S.S. Dolphin"?'
They do just say ドルフィン号, which is the name of the S.S. Dolphin, which is why in that section it is written that "Olimar states that he is the captain of the S.S. Dolphin (ドルフィン号)". Though, now that I think about it, I can see how that could be interpreted as "the S.S. Dolphin, which is known in Japanese as ドルフィン号" rather than "the S.S. Dolphin, referred to in the Japanese version of the file as ドルフィン号", 2 B (talk) 10:23, December 20, 2023 (EST)
:Aaaaah I see I see, so that paragraph is actually basing on both the English and Japanese translations equally, there wasn't a translation mistake in that case like in Smash. Thank you for the clarification! -Kirbeat (talk) 16:24, December 25, 2023 (EST) |

(Hello again; you may want to know that the word "comma" has 2 "M"s. A coma is something quite different. — Soprano(talk) 02:09, December 11, 2021 (EST))
- Ah, I wasn't aware of that, and that is indeed the types of things that I want to know, thank you for notifying me about it. The thing is that my native idiom is Spanish, and there the punctuation mark is coma with one "m". So, by seeing how in English comma is pronounced identical to the Spanish's coma, I though that it was also written identical, but I never double-checked to see if that was the case.
- Now I will write the thing as comma, as I should have done :P I apologize for any type of discomfort that that may have caused. -Kirbeat (talk) 13:19, December 11, 2021 (EST)
Responding to an edit summary.[edit]
In an edit of yours to the Hocotate ship's page, you wrote the following edit summary: 'It would be great knowing what the Japanese version of Pikmin 3 says, as the whole third paragraph here has theories based exclusively on the English translation, it seems to me. Does Olimar or Louie say "S.S. Dolphin first model" when referring to the ship, or they really just say "S.S. Dolphin"?'
They do just say ドルフィン号?, which is the name of the S.S. Dolphin, which is why in that section it is written that "Olimar states that he is the captain of the S.S. Dolphin (ドルフィン号?)". Though, now that I think about it, I can see how that could be interpreted as "the S.S. Dolphin, which is known in Japanese as ドルフィン号?" rather than "the S.S. Dolphin, referred to in the Japanese version of the file as ドルフィン号?", 2 B (talk) 10:23, December 20, 2023 (EST)
