The Loop of Beginnings (はじまりのループ?, lit.: "Loop of Beginnings") is the first treasure found in Hey! Pikmin. It is actually a plain ring with a pearl on it. Near the starting point of the First Expedition, the S.S. Dolphin II notices this treasure on top of a ledge, and convinces Captain Olimar to throw the Red Pikmin he just found to the treasure, so they can carry it down for him to collect. If the player goes ahead and ignores the treasure, the ship will interrupt shortly afterwards, trying to be sure if Olimar really wants to leave the treasure behind. When collected, the ship interjects and exclaims that this treasure is worth 100 Sparklium, and urges Olimar to collect more. This happens for the first treasure collected, not just this one, however.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

From the start of First Expedition, whistle the Pikmin hiding in the bush right after the starting point, and use them to build the bridge. Defeat the Crumbug in the way, and continue forward. The S.S. Dolphin II should interrupt you and tell you to throw the Red Pikmin you discovered towards the treasure, since it's on a ledge too high to reach. Throw 3 Pikmin at it, and it is enough for them to bring it down to you. Simply wait at the bottom and touch the treasure after it falls.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

This was the first object I found after crash-landing here. The Pikmin knew to pick it up immediately. Are they drawn to the Sparklium it contains, or do they just like picking things up? Who knows. The Pikmin that have been helping me are such trusted allies that I think I'll start cataloguing them, as well as the objects and indigenous creatures I find. I hope my notes are useful someday.
