This template allows putting information about the foreign names of article subjects and their respective meanings in those languages into an article. This template should be in a section called "Names in other languages", and it should come after the "Trivia" section.
The language's abbreviation and M (for Meaning) are parameters for this template. For Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, an additional abbreviation + R (Romanized) can be used. If you wish to include notes about a language, you can add the language and an N (for Notes), but you also must give a value to the "notes" parameter. The following languages are currently supported:
- Jap (JapM, JapR, JapN) - Japanese
- Spa (SpaM, SpaN) - Spanish
- SpaA (SpaAM, SpaAN) - NOA Spanish
- SpaE (SpaEM, SpaEN) - NOE Spanish
- Fra (FraM, FraN) - French
- FraA (FraAM, FraAN) - NOA French
- FraE (FraEM, FraEN) - NOE French
- Ger (GerM, GerN) - German
- Ita (ItaM, ItaN) - Italian
- Kor (KorM, KorR, KorN) - Korean
- Chi (ChiM, ChiR, ChiN) - Chinese
- Dut (DutM, DutN) - Dutch
- Por (PorM, PorN) - Portuguese
- PorP (PorPM, PorPN) - Portuguese from Portugal
- PorB (PorBM, PorBN) - Portuguese from Brazil
- Ara (AraM, AraN) - Arabic
Some examples:
{{Foreignname |Jap=???? |JapR=Kuribo |JapM=chestnut people }}
{{Foreignname |PorP=Apito |PorPM=Whistle |PorPN=Translation taken from the instruction manual |notes=y }}
