The Essence of Despair is a treasure in Pikmin 2. It is found on the second sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos. This jewel is dropped by one of three Fiery Bulblaxes, so Red Pikmin are a must when retrieving it. This treasure is actually an emerald mounted on a silver circle, and it resembles the Sagittarius and Libra from Pikmin in that respect.
