An 8-day run is where a player completes Pikmin 2 in 8 days. It is similar to the 7-day run in Pikmin in the regard that this is the minimum known number of days that can be taken to collect all 201 treasures. It is achieved by collecting each type of Pikmin on the first possible day, each one day after the other, and completing the entire Wistful Wild in one day. The following is a brief outline of such a run. The collection of as many available overground treasures as can be managed in the first four days is recommended, so as to relieve some of the greater difficulty of later days.

Route

Day 1: Valley of Repose

  • This is as in any other run through the game.

Day 2: Valley of Repose

Day 3: Awakening Wood

Day 4: Perplexing Pool

Day 5: Awakening Wood

Day 6: Perplexing Pool

  • Collect all overground treasures.
  • Complete Shower Room and Submerged Castle.
  • All overground treasures must be collected before completing the caves so that you can clear out the area before the day ends due to having cleared the debt.

Day 7: Valley of Repose

Day 8: Wistful Wild
