Emperor Bulblax or  Oculus supremus was the final boss in the first Pikmin game. He lies dormant in his arena until the Pikmin approach, at which he will wake up and start attacking. He resembles a flabby Bulborb with small red eyes and an incredibly mossy shell, which is the only visible part of him when he sleeps. His attacks include licking the ground with his tongue (with the purpose to eat any Pikmin that happen to be there), licking his face (to get rid of offending Pikmin), and jumping high into the air to crush Pikmin. The best strategy to beating him is to have yellow Pikmin grab any nearby bomb-rocks, and let him eat them. He will be stunned by the explosion (the more bomb-rocks, the longer the stun), which will be a good time to toss as many Pikmin as possible onto his face. Doing this repeatedly will beat him easily. In Pikmin 2, he is considerably weaker, with the jumping ability lost, and less defense. His shell is also not as mossy, and his eyes stick out of the ground. If any bomb-rocks are around, he can still eat them.
The Emperor Bulblax can be found as a leader in Bulblax Kingdom, and a miniboss in Cavern of Chaos and Hole of Heroes.

The Emperor Bulblax was the final boss in the first Pikmin game. He lies dormant in his arena at The Final Trial stage until something approached, at which he will wake up and start attacking. He resembles a flabby Bulborb with small red eyes and an incredibly mossy shell, which is the only visible part of him when he sleeps, and it is also invulnerable to attacks. His attacks include licking the ground with his tongue (with the purpose to eat any Pikmin that happen to be there), licking his face (to get rid of offending Pikmin), and jumping high into the air to crush and shake off Pikmin.

In Pikmin 2, they are much weaker, and sometimes smaller as well. Instead they keep their eyes exposed so they can see prey, but get up in the same manner. They still eat bomb-rocks, but eat them on their own instead. They have all of their other abilities, except the ability to jump extremely high (not the small jumps). The mossy parts are not grown, but the backside of it is still green and slimy, as well as it being invulnerable. The best way to beat it is to make it eat bomb-rocks if applicable, or use a special strategy. Take your Purple Pikmin, and get in front of the Bulblax, and just simply start rapidly throwing your Pikmin, and do not hesitate, this can cause it to be stunned, and also deal massive damge, and if you do it correctly, you should be able to kill it before it does anything!
