I once heard somewhere that this type of Creature was created by Tingle from the Zelda series.

Yeah, in Super Smash Bros. Melee you could jump down from Tingle's balloon and attack opponents with a down attack, and I just realized the simularity between that and the Careening Diribug....Pikdude 00:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
