I saw a picture of black pikmin in the community portal then clicked to be deleted was this picture forged or real? for give me if I'm stupid File:Http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/91/defaultjm2.jpg

Yes and no. That is a real image, but you can't get them naturally in the game. The guy who took it used an Action Replay hacking device to change the default colors of all his Pikmin to black. —Jimbo Jambo

Oh that helped alot i just want to use black but you have to hack it.-crazy9090

Well, you're not missing too much. It's really just a change in their skin color, they don't gain any special powers. Although, if you want to try it anyway, you can always buy an Action Replay. You can probably find a fairly cheap one on Amazon or eBay. They also have one for $30 at Codejunkies.com. Aside from getting black Pikmin, you can probably find all sorts of neat codes online. —Jimbo Jambo

The Pikmin's Onion color also changes when these codes are activated, but nothing else happens. (As Jimbo Jambo stated). Me_just_inEarly Mushroom Pikmin.jpg20:44, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, the 290 were atleast done without infinite time

Not necessarily. Mine cannot change that colour. Although, most do have more code options. How do you think I managed to squeeze 599 Pikmin out of a single day?--Prezintenden

Then you're probably not using the right codes. 6V60-YTGK-VPUXK KRJ5-EW06-8445A supposedly turns Red Pikmin black. There are a bunch more here. I'd guess that most of them work with Pikmin 2 as well, but you'll have to see for yourself.
Er, here are some codes for the PAL version. Keep in mind that you have to enable the (m) code before any of the others will work. —Jimbo Jambo
