The San Diego Zoo is a zoo located in San Diego, California. Like any zoo, it is primarily an exhibit for a wide variety of animals, considered by many to be the best of its kind in the world.

A promotional event dubbed Pikmin × San Diego Zoo was announced and begun on October 1st, 2024. Similar to Super Nintendo World's hidden Pikmin figures, five Pikmin statues can be found around the zoo's Wildlife Explorers Basecamp area from October 1st to November 28th. This tied into a similar promotion in October where tickets for children under 11 were free.

Guests were encouraged to visit the area's Pikmin pop-up tent near the Spineless Marvels section and check in at the My Nintendo kiosk and redeem 100 Platnium Points by scanning their My Nintendo QR Code, as well as a goodie bag (through November 24th) if they show staff a photo of a hidden Pikmin.[1]

There are 5 statues, featuring the 5 main Pikmin types from Pikmin 2.

Kura Sushi is a chain of conveyor belt sushi restaurants based in Japan, with several international locations in the United States and Taiwan.

On October 3rd, 2024, a promotional event named Pikmin x Kura Sushi USA was announced through My Nintendo, which would run through December 2nd, 2024.[2] The collaboration involved all Kura Revolving Sushi Bar locations in the United States, which gained special Pikmin-themed decor, unique capsule toy prizes, and exclusive menu items. The exclusive menu items took the form of 3 dishes, each one based on one of the 3 Pikmin from Pikmin: A Red Pikmin Crunchy Roll made with red tempura flakes, a Yellow Pikmin Cheese Tamago made with melted cheese and fried egg, and a Blue Pikmin Cheesecake made with blueberries. In addition, there were several giveaways for items such as exclusive t-shirts, a Nintendo Switch OLED, and a download code for Pikmin 4.[3]

In Pikmin Bloom, a Special Spot granting a Gold Seedling for a random Sushi Decor Pikmin could be found at every participating location. One Gold Seedling could be earned per day during the promotional event.
