The Segmented Crawbster begins situated far above its arena, out of sight, only to violently drop down when something moves under its resting point (though, this drop cannot harm Pikmin). When idle, it will crawl around the space it's confined to, in a relatively docile state for the creature. If it notices any [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] or [[leader]]s, it will turn to face them, and when close enough, curl up into a ball and roll towards them at high speeds; attempting to [[crush]] them under its immense weight. While rolling, the Segmented Crawbster homes in on the currently active leader, regardless of their position; much like the rocks created by [[Decorated Cannon Beetle]]s.
