Hey! Pikmin is a spin-off game in the ps, released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS. The game takes place sometime after the events of p3, and sees Captain Olimar crash-landing on an unfamiliar planet and collecting treasure to gather enough Sparklium to fuel his ship back into working condition. The game plays very differently to the main games in the series, as it is a 2.5D puzzle platformer. The focus of the game is not on organizing the Pikmin, multi-tasking, and strategy, but is instead on reflexes, accurate aiming, and maneuverability.
Hints are a game mechanic in p3d that give advice on what to do in the game. Their purpose is to assist players who are not sure what to do to advance in the game's story. Hints consist of some text, some images, and in most cases, arrows on the ground pointing towards the next destination.
