The Slipper-Bug Fossil (スリッパ虫?, lit.: "Slipper-Bug") is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It appears to be a fossilized trilobite, an extinct class of arthropods from the Paleozoic era.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Slipper-Bug Fossil is on top of a stone platform near the southeastern corner of the Giant's Hearth. It is guarded by a Spotty Bulbear and three Dwarf Bulbears, which should be defeated before attempting to collect this treasure. To collect this treasure, you must throw 15 Pikmin at it. When you attempt to collect it, a swarm of Mitites will emerge from the ground and induce fear in your Pikmin and Oatchi, requiring you to round them all up again.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

Clearly this is a fossil of a slipper bug. These creatures lived in ancient times and always traveled in pairs. Quite often one would get separated from the other, and no amount of searching would reunite them. Wait... am I thinking about real slippers?

Olimar's notes[edit]

Discovered along a mountain stream, its shape reminds me of a type of footwear used when moving through shallow waters. Perhaps this creature mimicked the shoe prints of this planet's inhabitants as a way to hide in plain sight and steal their food...

Louie's notes[edit]

An excellent tool for mashing and grating fruit.
