There is a project talking about this, but I'm not sure where it is on the [[Main Page]]. Can anyone help? {{user:Hunter}} |

How's This?
How's this? It could be used to synchronise projects across the wiki, and anyone coming here could find out what there is to do if we put a link to this in the sidebar (use Mediawiki:Sidebar) and Main Page somewhere. And I'm also thinking about vastly improving the Pikipedia:Community Portal.GP
There is one more space left anyway, which would even make it look better. Would I be right if I said we merely have to add ** currentprojects-url|currentprojects? And what would you want to change on the Community Portal?--Prezintenden
- Oops, didn't see your reply here before. No, you add the proper link with capitalisation and stuff as it's not built into MediaWiki as a codeword like the others are. I added it. And for the Community Portal, I think it needs colour and borders for sections like on other Wikia (pretty much all of them); not sure, it just seems lacking.
Creature's Scientific Names Meanings
I disagree. Most words are invented. Plus, it's rather simple to guess the names, and it's odd to explain jokes such as violinae orchestrus. --Prezintenden
- It's probably not worth translating every scientific name, but it might be worth noting for some of the less apparent ones, like Shiropedes ambulatria. I would guess that most of the Pikmin fanbase is fairly young and has little experience with foreign languages and Latin roots (seriously, who uses the word ambulate in day-to-day speech?). —Jimbo Jambo
Are we doing this project or not? I can translate Latin and be a great asset to this project, but I just need confirmation if we're doing this or not.
We seriously need more things to put here. We're running out of projects!GP
- I dunno if it's worth putting on the page, but a lot of the treasure and enemy notes have numerous tiny errors (most notably the capitalization of enemy names, but also small typos and slight differences in the phrasing of certain sentences). —Jimbo Jambo
- That's just something for Template:Clean, really. And of course, there are stubs and short pages. They could all be added as a note at the bottom, I suppose, sort of an 'Ongoing Projects' section, but that's kind of what Template:Editing is for.GP
Intill pikmin 3 we don't have much new materal ,but we need a Bacopa Cabana(a.k.a. the pikmin flower)--File:Large pixal snowy bulborb.PNGSnowy bulborb
- This was old, anyway; there's plenty to do now. And, I have no idea why that's not already an article; I've heard of it and read up on it before.GP
Are we doing this project or not? I can translate Latin and be a great asset to this project, but I just need confirmation if we're doing this or not.
Beta stuff
ok if we can get our hands on more beta stuff like Yellow Bulborb or Dwarf Blue Bulborb we can open some new doors --File:Large pixal snowy bulborb.PNGSnowy bulborb
- I hear that Pikmin will be a strategy, war game. Not a search and find game. I think that it would be wonderful if it was like that. I'm Killcam, and this is an uncomfermed rumor. I LIKE PIKMIN!

Other
Hey... I'm a new user, and there is a glitch concerning the Beady Long Legs that I have come across. On the bottom of the slope in the landing site in Perplexing Pool, A beady long legs fell down. Is this normal, Or should I record this as a glitch? Louie is EEEEVIL! October 28, 2008 10:41
- It's totally normal. It drops a bunch of pellets and respawns after like five or more days. I think it's mentioned on the Perplexing Pool article. —Jimbo Jambo
Physiology
RAWR! We should have this section, a place where you could easily find info about the creature. we should delete the other info from the summary, and revise it and add and put it in its own separate section. Argue otherwise, I'm absolutely DYING to hear you. IAMAHIPO_ocolor 14:27, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Absolutely not, I say. Every single article opens with a general description about the subject, and that description is where notes about its physical characteristics and and behavior go; anything additional is most likely mentioned in Olimar's notes, because that's the only place additional information comes from. I'm opposed to the idea of removing the general descriptions, and like I said about the Fiery Blowhogs, that makes a physiology section repetitive and redundant. If these were real-world animals, where they could be studied in-depth and more information could be learned about them, it would be very neat, but since they only exist in a video game which doesn't have a "Dissect-a-Pikmin" feature (hint hint game programmers hint hint), what we can know about them is limited. —Jimbo Jambo
- As said, we might get the chance to add this when Pikmin 3's there. But not yet, so revert it.--Prezintenden
Odd Glitch
Hello this glitch happend to me (not my video) and had my pikmin disaper,i once took some pikmin with me to study this glitch and found the pikmins heads onley showing in the ground, and olimar feet in the ground and if i move more he would end ontop of the bridge, and looked carfully and seen the pikmin disapeer through the ground. It's a relly odd glitch,i think they die the same way if the pikmin are thrown off the cliff (the one by the Libra). This is what happend when someone else found this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UhTCi3qQrA
Please note i have the 'New Play Control!'onley and have bad grammer.--your Gnome--Gnomeking2

New Projects (As a group)
As you may or may not know, Snakeboss14 has been doing his own project called Project ITA (Improve Treasure Articles) and actualy finished 2 days ago. Now that Snakebos more or less improved treasure articles, and as I said on his Talk page, maybe out next project could be to improve enemy pages, that or the 2-player battle areas, as their pages are lacking in information (.e.g. Maps). Anyone agree? RWAR! ~JOSHAZILLA!!!~ AND IMAFIRINMAHLAZOR!!!
- Anything that can be improved should be, no? Maps are kind of redundant though, seeing as the arenas spawn in at least 2 different ways each, and it's really not as helpful as they would be for story mode maps. Not saying you shouldn't make them, just saying it's not the most vital part of improving the articles.--Prezintenden
Stratigies
Hello, I'm kindof wanting to put stratigies for 2-player battle mode. I just wanted to know if I could make a seprite section on the pagecalled stratigies, can I? The Purple Pikmin Master 00:46, April 14, 2010 (UTC)The Purple Pikmin Master, Purple Pikmin are my power!!!
- Dunno, in my opinion you can do it, but not in a separate page. In the battle mode article make a new section, though I say you wait for more answers. Snakeboss14
Not a seprite page, but a section of the page, like the heading is stratigies, i'll try making a stratigy guide, I just hope it doesn't get erased like evrything I write on a wikiThe Purple Pikmin Master 01:21, April 14, 2010 (UTC)The Pirple Pikmin Master, Purple Pikmin are my power!!!
- I told you to wait for more people to answer, maybe that's why your work is erased. As long as people agree with you, they won't take it out. And by the way, I know I sound weird, but work on your spelling. Snakeboss14
- ...Yeah, if you write like that on the articles, most people aren't going to take the time to try to find the meaning in it and rewrite it.GP
i'm going to help!
hi everyone! i'm new here [kinda] but i'm going to help sublevel walkthroughs! oh yeah snowy bulborb, i'm going to help that too.
Challenge Mode Walkthroughs
Provide walkthroughs of how to beat the Challenge Mode levels.
-I'm new to this, but I'm not sure if suggestions of Projects should be put on this page. I was confused of what the page said. Bulborb63 (talk • contribs)
Game names
A couple of bits aren't in line with the policy, I don't think. First, "Pikmin (game)" can be written as "Pikmin 1" in headings just as in page titles, for the reason that formatting isn't allowed.
Second, nothing is said about italicising the series - the section is about game names, titles of an actual piece of released media only. In fact, I think it's better if references to the series aren't italicised, so that every time you see Pikmin, you know it must be the game we're talking about. "Pikmin" without italics, then, could be the species or the series, but those are easier to differentiate between from the context, IMO. GP
- You mean that in headings, seeing as we shouldn't format them, we should instead write "Pikmin (game)"? I guess that can be helpful in some cases, as opposed to just "Pikmin". As long as "Pikmin 1" is never seen in this wiki, that's great, as "Pikmin 1" doesn't exist. As for italicizing the series' name, I... sort of made that up. I just thought it'd look better, but after having italicized it in the Pikmin 3 article (link), I figured I should reconsider. {EspyoT} 17:25, 3 March 2011 (EST)
- If you read the policy, you'll see that it was agreed to prefer Pikmin 1 over Pikmin (game) in ambiguous cases (page titles, headings, etc.); discussion's here. And that's what I was saying we should do.
- I see. I still think we should reconsider that, as, personally, "Pikmin 1" looks rather ugly. I'll discuss it on the policy page which I for some stupid reason missed. About IGN being italicized, I found that weird too... I say we redo that page. It's a bit hard to read, and it's a mess. {EspyoT} 18:22, 3 March 2011 (EST)
"Brawl Trophy"?
Should we change this rather undescriptive title? How about "Trophy Description from Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Ridly Skree! 20:20, 24 April 2011 (EDT)
- That's really minor, but I don't see why we shouldn't change it to a more descriptive title. Although what you suggested seems kinda long... Instead of "Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we could write just Brawl - everyone knows which game we're talking about. I think "Brawl trophy description" would look good. {EspyoT} 10:29, 25 April 2011 (EDT)
Game names question
Should we move all the pages and categories with "Pikmin 1" in them to "Pikmin" as well? Pikmin1254
- Well no. You see, we try to avoid using the term "Pikmin 1" because that doesn't exist. "Pikmin" is the correct term. However, the only way to surely disambiguate between the creatures and the first game is the italics. Hence, in all place where we can use italics, we name the game "Pikmin" and italicize it. If we cannot (like in headers or in categories), we have to resort to "Pikmin 1". {EspyoT} 08:22, 20 February 2012 (EST)
- Or 'Pikmin (game)' in the only case that doesn't sound silly. We still need to discuss whether we want to use italics in headers/titles, though - pretty much no-one said anything when I put up the policy proposal originally, and apparently some other wikis do use italics in those cases. GP 12:35, 21 February 2012 (EST)
- Seems pretty wrong to me. Would look odd and I can't imagine it being according to wiki etiquette. I'm against it; I still prefer the slightly awkward Pikmin 1.--Prezintenden
Ship's dialogs
On this page the Ship's dialogs are included in both the Monologs, Voyage Log entries and ship's dialogs project (which is listed as requiring 'some' Pikmin knowledge and having a 'hard' technical difficulty) and in the seperate Ship's dialogs project (which is listed as requiring 'a lot' of Pikmin knowledge and having a 'medium' technical difficulty). I would suggest we either merge the two projects together or we take the ship's dialogs out of the former project. Vol (Talk)
- The combined one is for setting all the notes up properly, and the ship's dialogues one is for actually finding and copying the text from the game. Anyone doing the latter can just dump it on the talk page, which is what reduces its technical difficulty. The other two sets of notes (monologues/voyage log) already have all the notes (AFAIK) on their pages. GP 04:17, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
Brawl Trophy Description
Hey guys, just letting you know, not to brag or anything, but I fixed all the Brawl trophy descriptions. However, I noticed that some pages were missing their trophy descriptions, though they were mentioned on the Super Smash Bros. page. Should I add them? Los Plagas (talk) 23:13, 4 January 2013 (EST)
- Thanks. And yeah, if you don't mind, feel free to follow the same format as the other "Brawl Trophy Description" sections, and add the missing ones. — {EspyoT} 07:52, 5 January 2013 (EST)
Alright, so I added the trophy descriptions to all of the pages that were missing them. That's one thing we can cross off the list! Los Plagas (talk)
Cave project
I've been thinking of a new project for a while. I thought, perhaps, we could have individual sublevel statistics for each of the caves in Pikmin 2. What I mean is, before the actual guide for every sublevel, there are bullets, listing hazards, eggs, enemies, etc. An already existing example of what I am talking about is the guide for the Frontier Cavern (and to a lesser extent, the Subterranean Complex, which only lists hazards). However, this has the potential to be quite difficult, as it would mean checking statistics for each sublevel several times by resetting. Hmm... There are 99 sublevels, so to check each one, I'd say around 250 resets in all... so it'd be a bit tedious. Thoughts? ~PikFan23
- Ah, so that's what you meant. Yes, I suppose it could be really boring after a while... I suppose we should add it as a project regardless, and anyone who's interested can go to any subfloor that has missing info and add it. Doesn't necessarily need to be a one-man job. — {EspyoT} 06:39, 7 March 2013 (EST)
- What I meant was that in order to confirm the statistics of each sublevel, we'll have to count them, and reset to count again to see if it is consistent. I did some calculations to see how many resets are necessary to check the stats of every existing sublevel combined. I really didn't word it that well; sorry for the confusion. ~PikFan23
- Right. Of course, some things will vary, most notably the number of hazards. Depending on the layout of the sublevel (as they're randomly generated) there may be extra hazards that weren't there before, so some sublevels may have inconsistencies in them. We'll have to label them as ?, x, or some other synonymous symbol/phrase. ~PikFan23
Okay, looks like most of this can probably be grabbed automatically from the game data. I see eggs, gates, plants, enemies and hazards. Some of the formatting is a bit weird, and I don't understand some things, but it looks consistent. GP 12:54, 14 March 2013 (EDT)
- Here is the data I have ATM. It's in plain text and wiki format, with both 2nd- and 3rd-level headings. Some numbers may be wrong as we discussed in the IRC - you might want to cross-reference with my guide (which may also be wrong...) if any are doubtful. If it would be more helpful with a slight change in format, I can do that fairly easily. GP 09:01, 17 March 2013 (EDT)
I'm thinking we should introduce a new category, Obstacles, which include gates and clogs. Also, for the sake of simplicity, we should just group black and white gates together as "gates". Right now, I'm currently working on the Dream Den... ~PikFan23
- Category in what sense? We already have a category:obstacles. And with the grouping, do you mean in article text, where they're mentioned? I don't think that's something we need a standard for - you just use whatever seems the most natural when you're writing it. GP 05:43, 8 July 2013 (EDT)
Fruit
Maybe things are more inactive here than I realize, but I personally believe that the Fruit pages should be a bit of a priority. Then again, maybe I am missing something. Thoughts? Joshduman (talk) 22:57, 4 November 2013 (EST)
- The thing is all Pikmin 3 content is on top priority right now. But because none of the main editors has the game, so far, that is going nowhere. Eventually, one of us will buy the game, and update the wiki to its rightful state, fruits and all. But until then... — {EspyoT} 07:47, 5 November 2013 (EST)
Actually, I was told by Prezintenden that he had the game . . . but perhaps he is simply going through a busy period. Or my memory is guilty of deception. But you can ask him, or better, and most likely, he will respond here. -Los Plagas
- Yeah I have the game, yeah uni is giving me hell right now so I have no time/mood to edit much at the moment, sorry. I'll try to squeeze some stuff in.--Prezintenden 07:44, 10 November 2013 (EST)
Trig's Clean-Up
If at all possible, I would like to add My Clean-Up project to this page. It would help clean out a lot of maintenance material, both replacing old content with new content and creating a lot of new content. Trig - (talk) 08:30, September 30, 2020 (EDT)
- I'll be honest, I didn't quite understand what the practical difference is between that list and Pikipedia:Maintenance. — {EspyoT} 10:25, October 4, 2020 (EDT)
New project proposals
I propose 3 new projects:
- Add Pikmin 3 Deluxe Side Stories information – while every mission has an article with basic information, many need detailed descriptions, guides, and names in other languages.
- Upload Pikmin 3 Deluxe images – There are many area differences between the versions of Pikmin 3, and there are a lot of Side Stories image still needed.
- Document menus – A lot of menu articles could be documented better, with more details on graphics and button functions, and most menus in Hey! Pikmin are missing information entirely.
— Botanist(talk) 22:20, January 20, 2021 (EST)
I, too, have a project proposal, which is to look through each and every unused file and figure out what to do with them. Among all that should be deleted is some pretty neat stuff, particularly the scans of what seems to be a Japanese Pikmin 2 player's guide. ~ Cheepy (talk)
- That one can already be found in Pikipedia:Maintenance. — {EspyoT} 10:12, April 9, 2022 (EDT)

Hi! I’m a new editor on Pikipedia! You can ask me questions if you want, but don’t take my word for granted.I like to try my absolute best to help out Pikipedia. I've noticed that my user page is pretty empty, so I going put some original recipes I made based off Louie's notes!
Grubchucker delight
Get the meat from a blue crab's legs and claws and cover them in miso.
Bulborb larva eye
ingredients
The most important ingredient for making gummy eyeballs is gelatin. I like to use super clear gelatin but knox gelatin will also work. You can flavor your gummy eyeballs with any kind of extract you like! I like to use fruity flavors like strawberry, orange, apple, raspberry or pineapple. The citric acid makes the gummies a little sour which tastes really yummy. You will also need some food coloring. White for coloring the eyeball (or you can use some milk), blue for iris and black for the pupil. I used Americolor food coloring gel. Electric blue and super black. Also get some sour cream ,okra, and a burger patty.
Gummy eyeball tools I use an updated recipe that tastes delicious and is easy to customize to any flavor. I used a sphere mold from the Chicago School of Mold Making for my eyeballs but you can use any sphere mold. I especially love the sphere ice molds because they are inexpensive.
For painting, I like to use a fine detail brush. That's it!
How to make gummy eyeballs Step 1 - The first thing you need to do is make your gummy eyeball recipe. Reserve about ⅓ of the recipe for the clear iris. Color the rest with a few drops of white food coloring.
Step 2 - Make the Iris. Make sure the clear gelatin is not too hot for this part. It should be melted but not hot feeling at all (about 90-95ºF is ideal). Place a few drops into the bottom of the mold to make the iris. Depending on the size of the mold it could be the size of a dime or it could be the size of a quarter. It's up to you. You can use a spoon, a squeeze bottle or just carefully pour from your measuring cup. If you mess up just wait for it to set up and peel it back out and try again.
Step 3 - Once the clear gelatin sets up, use your fine-tipped paintbrush to paint in the pupil (black dot in the center). Try to center it the best that you can and paint a simple circle.
Step 4 - Add a few dots and lines with the black around the iris (colored part of the eye), very lightly.
Step 5 - Outline the outside of the iris very lightly with more black food coloring.
Step 6 - Use a combination of colored food coloring (like blue, brown, green etc) and white food coloring to put in some lines radiating out from the pupil until the clear is completely covered. Try not to mess up your pupil.
Step 7 - Let the food coloring dry for 20 minutes (or more). If the food coloring is not dry, it can bleed into the white part of your eye. Totally fine for the zombie look but you may not want that so that's how you avoid it.
Step 8 - Place the top of your mold on, use rubber bands to make sure it stays sealed
Step 9 - Fill the mold up with white gelatin (cooled to 90-95ºF) and place the molds into the fridge to set up for at least two hours.
Step 10 - Demold and use electric pink food coloring and a fine-tipped paintbrush to add some veins if you want.
Making
Put your gummy eyeball on the patty and put a teaspoon of sour cream and a sprinkle of okra to finally finish the recipe.
