Ivory Candypop Buds (シロポンガシグサ?, lit.: "White Puffed Grain Weed") are white Candypop Buds in Pikmin 2. They behave the same as all other Candypop Buds, except when non-White Pikmin are thrown in, they will change into White Pikmin. If White Pikmin are thrown in, they will be reverted to the leaf maturity. These plants are the only way to obtain White Pikmin.
Locations
The following are all locations of Ivory Candypop Buds. To note is that some of them will not appear if the player's total White Pikmin count is 20 or more, as explained here.
- Story mode
- Subterranean Complex: One on sublevel 3 (might not always appear), and three on sublevel 4.
- Frontier Cavern: One on sublevel 3 (Bulbmin available), one on sublevel 5, and one on sublevel 7 (Bulbmin available).
- White Flower Garden: Three on sublevel 3 (if the player has less than 20 White Pikmin). This is where White Pikmin are first found.
- Bulblax Kingdom: One on sublevel 1 (if the player has less than 20 White Pikmin), and one on sublevel 3.

- Submerged Castle: One on sublevel 3 (Bulbmin available).
- Cavern of Chaos: One on sublevel 5 (Queen Candypop Bud available).
- Challenge Mode
- The Giant's Bath: One on sublevel 2.
Notes
Olimar's notes
“Research from our most recent expedition has confirmed the presence of candypop buds in subterranean regions. Considering the micro-ecologies this plant has been found in, one could surmise that it could be found in any cavern, regardless of geographic region. Tossing Pikmin into this flower always produces white Pikmin seeds, regardless of the color of Pikmin tossed in. In many cases, plants with small leaves typically have limited photosynthetic capabilities, and thus must find alternate means of obtaining nutrients, with parasitic and predatory behavior being most common. The candypop could be considered one such example.”
Louie's notes
“This elusive flower spoils within seconds of picking, making it unsuitable for cooking.”
Pikmin 2 Nintendo Player's Guide
“The only way to get white Pikmin on your squad is to use an Ivory Candypop Bud. One bud produces up to five pale sprouts.”
