The Vanishing Cookie (消えたクッキー?, lit.: "Cookie of Extinction") is a treasure in Pikmin 4 located in the Engulfed Castle. It is a diamond shaped thumbprint cookie with a strawberry jam-based filling in the center.
Collecting the treasure
The following article or section contains guides. |
The Vanishing Cookie is inside of a Fiery Bulblax near on the second corridor from the north of sublevel 1 of the Engulfed Castle. To collect this treasure, you must first defeat the Fiery Bulblax by either dousing it with a nearby water puddle or allowing the Waterwraith to kill it, then throw 3 Pikmin at it.
Notes
Schnauz's notes
“Is it possible for a cookie to be TOO delicious? It seems it is. This very cookie is so incredibly tasty that it vanishes almost as soon as it appears. Where it goes...nobody knows. But if you ever want to taste it, you'll have to move fast!”
Olimar's notes
“Sweets don't simply disappear of their own accord. There has to be some sort of scientific explanation! To test my theory, I've laid out the cookies and am waiting... Normally, I'd have given into my urge to eat them, but I must stay strong.”
Louie's notes
“There's something about this flavor that makes it impossible to stop eating. Not that I've tried very hard.”

Trivia
- This treasure, along with the Cookie of Nibbled Circles, Cookie of Prosperity, Love's Fortune Cookie, and Hearty Container are all based off of cookies from the game Yoshi's Cookie. This is even more evident by the treasure’s internal name,
YOSHICOOKIEC
. The supposed vanishing nature is likely a reference to how the cookies disappear when cleared in the puzzle game.
