Hey, one of the differences is that Pikmin last longer before drowning or burning to death. Do they last the same as in Pikmin 2 ot still die faster? Does anyone know?
- Oh, and I hate that Pikmin throw the Bomb-rocks at enemies because they wake up and chase you. That sucks! And the other day a Yellow Pikmin almost drowned because he wanted to hit a Wollywog with a bomb but the idiot went into the water and lost it. Snakeboss14
Glitch[edit]
I was playing this and a wierd thing happened to me in The Forest Navel: a yellow threw its bomb-rock at my squad, killing the 12 it contained. Has anyone encountered this in the GameCube version, or is it a result of the changes made to the game? 17:05, 2 November 2011 (EDT)
- You sure the bomb didn't hit a wall? Or the Pikmin had some minor disturbance in front of him before he threw it, making it bounce back? Because that's kinda weird. Never had that happen on the GC, and I doubt the Wii version adds that. {EspyoT} 19:26, 2 November 2011 (EDT)
- I'm sure. The exact place Olimar and his squad were placed was at the wall which takes 9 bombs, closest by the Onions, standing so that I had a downhill to the gate. So I threw it to make it drop its bomb at the gate. I appearently didn't threw it far enough, as it didn't seem to recognise the wall. It instead acted as if it was "Enemy-blasting-time!", aiming at the closest creature(my 12 other bomb-rock carrying yellows): in effect deliberatley throwing the bomb. I also think that Olimar had a sliver of HP left.
- Exact chain of events:
- Throw a yellow carrying a bomb-rock towards said wall
- Wait
- Watch as your squad gets killed by a yellow Pikmin throwing its bomb-rock at the squad.

- That's so weird. Internally, when a yellow bomb-rock carrying Pikmin is trying to attack, it doesn't recognize your army as an enemy. One can notice that all the time. Throw a Pikmin, get your group get close to him, and he won't attack. But that is really weird, specially because you were downhill to the gate. If the Pikmin slided a tiny bit away from the gate, it could have glitched him out, but it wasn't even that... {EspyoT} 09:05, 3 November 2011 (EDT)
- Yeah... I'll try to re-create the glitch to see what in the Hocotate actually happened... Also: yay for wierd glitches! They are awesomely wierd! 09:20, 3 November 2011 (EDT)
- ...Trick or treat?
- I guess the AI messed up because of the wall. Tried to attack it because of some bug, so it threw the bomb, but because of general bugginess of the situation the direction was bugged and it threw it somewhere else. I assume you just happened to stand in the spot where it randomly threw it by pure chance.--Prezintenden
