i'm not sure, if it was cropped they'd still be there wouldn't they? wouldn't cropped be they changed the size to remove it? they space where they are at is still there but the objects are not. I can understand not being noteworthy, was a bit unsure when i added it myself when i noticed they should still be able to be seen despite the size change. just unsure if directly removing them really counts as 'cropping'. It's more something for the Rock Pikmin page than the Pikmin 4 page itself, but if you really think it should stay, you can re-add it. I just didnt think it was noteworthy. - '''Bossclips'''

Hey.

I am sorry. I did not know. I am fairly new and should have paid more attention to the topic. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 45.27.89.141 • (talk) • (contribs)

Campground Area

That was not leaked, it was confirmed it the new trailer AND the Japanese shorts, there is an entire short on nintendo japan dedicated to that area, its NOT leaked, so it should be allowed. - PikminLover4587

Campground area is fine, talking about the beach area. Unless you can cite a source, the name "Serene Shores" has not be publicly revealed at all. - Bossclips

Bulbear mistake

"It is a mistake if they are supposed to be younger versions of the adults ones, which would make them the same species." My point is that the scientific names don't contradict the fact they are the same species. If Oculus terribilis dotticum is a subspecies of Oculus terribilis, then we can assume the Bulbear, Dwarf or otherwise, is both. It's like "Homo sapiens" and "Homo sapiens sapiens". The inconsistency is probably unintentional, but it's not wrong. 2 B (talk) 14:09, July 11, 2023 (EDT)

A subspecies is essentially a different species. If the younger versions of a species are a different species, that implies the adult of that species gives birth to something other than it's own species, which is (naturally) impossible. - Bossclips

That's not what a subspecies is. You know how different species can belong to the same genus, and specimens of those species also belong to the genus? Basically that. The subspecies is to the species as the species is to the genus, as far as I understand how this works. 2 B (talk) 14:57, July 11, 2023 (EDT)

Yes, correct. If the parent had a different genus to the offspring, that wouldnt make sense. If the parent had a different species to the offspring, that wouldnt make sense. If the parent had a different subspecies to the offspring, that wouldnt make sense. - Bossclips

And the game doesn't state the offspring's subspecies, only the species (Oculus terribilis). There's no reason for it to not also belong to the same subspecies as its parent (Oculus terribilis dotticum). 2 B (talk) 17:31, July 11, 2023 (EDT)

Leaving out a creature's subspecies isn't proper taxonomy. If it's not listed, it's not there. Error or not, it has to be accepted as fact, and therefore the error lies in its classification rather than a typo or translation error. Glint beetle family's existence is guilty of the latter, but we treat it as a taxonomy error. - Bossclips

is it really cropped?
