:There are probably no real damaging glitches. For the most part, the ones tagged as "Harmful" mean they don't do the player any favors, and usually end up putting the player in a worse spot than before, so they should only be reproduced for fun, not to gain some advantage. Still, some glitches can cause save files to end up in a really tricky predicament, like the Libra being lost to the abyss. In a way, that glitch did end up causing damage -- to the player's save file. There are also some glitches that crash the game, and I doubt any console past the year 1995 or so has a problem with the game they are playing crashing. Still, because it's an unintended and aggressive behavior, we don't have the authority to say it's harmless, and it's better to be safe than sorry and warn players that these types of glitches could bear some (minuscule) risk. — '''{''[[User:Espyo|Espyo]]''[[User talk:Espyo|T]]}''' 13:56, February 23, 2023 (EST)

Doing a search through all glitches labelled as "Harmful" on their respective articles, I can't seem to find any that state there will be damage to the hardware running the game. Is the inclusion of such terms in the glitch notes a holdover of when the Beady Long Legs Arena Crash was still thought to be real? It's good that mention is still included in the glitch notes so that in the future, hardware-affecting glitches will be properly documented, but I'm really keen to see if there are any existing hardware-relevant glitches. -- AmnesiacUser avatar for User:Amnesiacjournal.Journal 20:47, February 22, 2023 (EST)

There are probably no real damaging glitches. — {EspyoT} 13:56, February 23, 2023 (EST)
