Hey, I've noticed that you're putting the delete template on various redirect pages in the Talk namespace that were created as a result of moving a page. I was just interested to know why you think they should be deleted. From my perspective, there's no harm in just leaving these redirects alone, and there's a chance that deleting them might break an old version of another page. — Soprano(talk) 17:23, November 21, 2022 (EST)

::They aren't necessary. They will only confuse people when searching. These pages are talk page redirects for redirect pages, so if people *do* click on the talk page section, they likely would expect discussion as to why that redirect exists, not to be redirected to the correct page's discussion. As for old pages, they are inherently going to break inevitably from other things and should probably not be worried about too extensively—if people want to maintain a proper trail to follow where pages went, the new page should explicitly be linked to in the deletion reason regardless. I am actively correcting any existing links anyway. Trig - 17:43, November 21, 2022 (EST)

Talk page redirects[edit]

Hey, I've noticed that you're putting the delete template on various redirect pages in the Talk namespace that were created as a result of moving a page. I was just interested to know why you think they should be deleted. From my perspective, there's no harm in just leaving these redirects alone, and there's a chance that deleting them might break an old version of another page. — Soprano(talk) 17:23, November 21, 2022 (EST)

They aren't necessary.
