- In the 2012 Youtube trailer for New Play Control! Pikmin 2, Red Pikmin demonstrate their ability to resist fire by fighting a Fiery Bulblax in what is either an early version or the Piklopedia version of the Valley of Repose, evident by the lack of water. Later in the same video, Blue Pikmin are shown fighting a Fiery Bulblax at its usual location in the final game's Valley of Repose.
