:The Vehemoth Phosbat is an example of another boss with two clear, defined phases, even separated by a cutscene- battling it in the dark whilst illuminating the cave, and battling it when the main light has been switched on- it behaves differently during this phase, both stopping to rest on the cave walls and appearing fully visible which it doesn't do in the previous phase. This is not an ''action'', like the Wollyhop argument given, this is a whole ''phase'' where the entire phase of battle with the boss has changed.

:Doing stuff like in in Boundary Break isn't quite possible, at least not for most people. But we have other tools. You know what?I feel bad for the plasm wrath...He was just lonely,so when it found olimar unconscious,he wanted to wake him up and make a friend. Then koppains come along, and our like "What is that monster doing to olimar?!He's in 'terrible' danger!".So it sucks it up olimar to save him...so after that,he attempts to get him back.In a final attempt to win him back,he use's his final ticket:Elemental powers.Eventually he looks up to the sky after being defeated and does what could be considered a wave goodbye to his 'friend' olimar, who is flying away with the koppains.Pikmin has a very dark behind the scenes... Please use the forums for small talk; talk-pages are for discussion for the improvement of the article only. -Los Plagas
Oh...sorry...Would you mind deleting this in that case?Pokeking132 (talk)
Actually, Los Plagas, it's fine. In case you haven't noticed, many talk pages have these kinds of posts on them, and they were made years ago... So I don't see why Pokeking132 isn't allowed to make a comment on the Plasm Wraith. ~PikFan23
Sorry about that; I was a little irritated today, I guess. It's fine Pokeking; don't bother yourself too much about it. Also, the Plasm Wraith survives and waves goodbye to the ship as it flies away? Actually, now that I'm a bit more clearminded than I was this morning, a lot of small-talk on pages give way to valuable information. Also, the entire premise of Pikmin is very dark - you upset the natural balance of the ecosystem by making Pikmin the top if the food chain, make several species extinct, and leave your own troops behind, endlessly waiting for you and presumably serving to death (Bulbmin). -Los Plagas
Yeah, after the S.S.drake takes off,the plasm wraith is flailing its arms in the air.I'm not sure if its roaring at the koppains,or it waving goodbye to olimar.Pokeking132 (talk)

It all makes sense . . . http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i9ha0nnMTiI Skip to 7:29 This theory links up completely! It makes my head want to explode! People need to know this, so I thought I'd share it.Polonoid 75 (talk) 16:35, July 22, 2013 (UTC)polonoid75

O-O Waterwraith please don't hurt me.

Brett krogh (talk) 18:46, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

My theory: The beady and raging long legs both disintegrate with some electricity and barely any liquid substance from them. Amenyuudou, he looks exactly like the waterwraith but in gold form. He just kidnaps olimar just for revenge not any items, REVENGE!!!Brett krogh (talk) 18:56, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

But, in pikmin 3, the ship doesn't have it's golden hull. Amenyuudou may have stolen it, as it steals treasure like the secret safe. Also, I always thought the long legs exploded into confetti and its head opened like a prize ballPolonoid 75 (talk) 03:34, July 23, 2013 (UTC)polonoid75

It's name is the Plasm Wraith. Waterwraith connection confirmed. This message has been approved by AeroBlaze777. (talk)Someone called Dave created a really convincing theory that the Goolix, Waterwraith and The Plasm Wraith are all the same creature.

I call this guy Honey Mustard on people's streams of the game. Does this sound reasonable or very very stupid?

Lawatson (talk) 20:01, August 8, 2013 (UTC)Luke

Seems sorta stupid

Another thing, the Mysterious Life Form is ACTUALLY the Plasm Wraith before the captains got a good scan of it,well, this is my theory anyway. Bkfootball (talk) 20:32, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

What is this Morphoplasm thing? Were was this said? Was it even confirmed?

long story, forget it, the name morphoplasm is a fan translation from morfoplasma(spanish) that is just a different way to say protoplasm Nvortex (talk) 20:42, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Comment by CraftedPbody on 12th March 2014[edit]

"The Plasm Wraith is the first final boss in the Pikmin series to have multiple phases" this is untrue, all of the Final Bosses in the pikmin series have phases. The Emporer Bulblax has it's anger phase in Pikmin where, rather than eating your pikmin, It bounces high in the air and squashes them. The Titan Dweevil has 5 stages when you first fight it and it's final phase is when it has no weapons. The Plasm Wraith is actually the only Final Boss of the series to change forms. This quality of changing shape and form seems to be a wraith thing. - CraftedPbody (talkcontribs)

I knew something was up with that - Space1255 (talkcontribs)
Please, don't start this. You might as well say the Flighty Joustmite, of all things, is multi-phased. The Plasm Wraith is the only mult-phased final boss and boss in the series so far. End of story. - ShadowRaptor101 (talkcontribs)
Not end-of-story, shadowraptor. The Waterwraith is also a boss that has multiple phases. In fact, it has the exact SAME phases as the Plasm Wraith, one where you flee from it, and the second, where you can actually harm it. Therefor, your claim that the Plasm Wraith is the only multi-phased boss in the series is incorrect.
Phase is defined as 'a short period of time during which a person behaves in a particular way or likes a particular thing', so the Emporer Bulblax's bouncing phase counts as well, making CraftedPbody's initial observation correct. The Plasm Wraith isn't the only final boss in the series to have multiple different phases. - PingasMaster2041 (talkcontribs)
Sure, so the Wollywog has a "jumping phase", a "falling phase", a "slightly falling a bit more phase", and a "bam, touchdown!" phase. Hell, you could even say it has a "oh look, Pikmin. Better puff up and jump!" phase. You might as well count every separate frame of animation a totally separate phase, since one could potentially hurt you while another isn't remotely threatening.

Please just accept that the Plasm Wraith is the only creature so far to have a clearly-defined phase change like everyone else did long ago and stop this cancerous discussion. I feel stupider and stupider each time somebody makes me continue to beat this dead horse. - ShadowRaptor101 (talkcontribs)
Well... the Plasm Wraith is the not the only multi-phased final boss, it's the only multi-phased final boss with clearly definited phases (separated by a cutscene). Another multi-phased final boss is the Titan Dweevil, which have, I think, at least 2 phases: When it have its objects and when it haven't. Remember, As soon as it lose its objects, you can actually attack it and damage it. - Supershadow30 (talkcontribs)
Guys, the Plasm Wraith is the only boss with a very clear phase change. The way I would define a phase is the same creature going through 2 different forms. So far, only the Plasm Wraith fits this definition. Seriously guys, this is the only boss with a clear 2 phases. End of Story. - AeroBlaze777 (talkcontribs)
The Vehemoth Phosbat is an example of another boss with two clear, defined phases, even separated by a cutscene- battling it in the dark whilst illuminating the cave, and battling it when the main light has been switched on- it behaves differently during this phase, both stopping to rest on the cave walls and appearing fully visible which it doesn't do in the previous phase. This is not an action, like the Wollyhop argument given, this is a whole phase where the entire phase of battle with the boss has changed.
This is not a form change like the Plasm Wraith, but changing form and changing phase are not necessarily the same thing in a boss battle- an example from another game series: in the final battle with Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Ganondorf does not change form throughout the entire final battle, however, there are multiple phases in how you fight him. Phases and forms in boss battles are different things. MegaJ (talk) 07:48, 29 September 2015 (EDT)

Ok, I'm going to say it, some of the bosses in the pikmin games have phases, not to be arguemental, but, the emperor bulblax (in pikmin 1), like I said before, does have two phases, after it gets down to less than half health it will go into its more agressive state. The waterwraith does technically have two phases, the state of having and not having its rollers. These examples are two cases of bosses having multiple phases, that being said, the plasm wraith is the only boss with clearly-defined phases that are shown by cutscenes. This, is true of it. - CraftedPbody (talkcontribs)

Neither of their names change, and the emperor bulblax is just more aggressive. It's phases aren't really obvious. Besides, neither have cutscenes separating them, making it more unclear. - RainbowPikmin (talkcontribs)
They don't need Cutscenes or Differing names to be considered phases. Also, one could say that Gatling Groinks have 2 phases via the speed glitch. Pikifan4 (talk) 09:09, 3 February 2016 (EST)

How do you beat it?? Every time I try to escape him, almost all of my pikmins die because they were absorbed! - Supershadow30 (talkcontribs)

Use the Rock Pikmin. - AeroBlaze777 (talkcontribs)
I mean... I'm blocked at the lamp cave when I try to escape him! - Supershadow30 (talkcontribs)
There are bridge shards located in that room. You need to build a bridge over to the second lamp, and then throw a captain and some pikmin over to the 3rd lamp. If that isn't your question, please be more specific. - AeroBlaze777 (talkcontribs)
