- "Red" refers to your last Red Pikmin. "Pikmin" refers to your last Pikmin of all. Some examples:
- "Outside, lose your last Red. In other areas: Buried Reds." = Be at the overworld of the Valley of Repose, have 1 Red and 2 Purples in your party, have 1 buried Red Pikmin at the Awakening Wood, have absolutely no Pikmin located anywhere else in the entire game. Then, lose the Red in your party.
- "Outside, lose your last Pikmin. In other areas: No Pikmin." = Be at the overworld of the Valley of Repose, have 1 Red Pikmin, have absolutely no Pikmin located anywhere else in the entire game. Then, lose this Pikmin. — {EspyoT} 12:31, 31 December 2016 (EST)
